Has your MBP shipped yet?

Shipped "today", these apparently being the first shipments out, means they're shipping Friday evening China time, which is Friday morning US time (they're 12 hours ahead of EDT.) So since people are just getting shipping confirmations, they are shipping Friday, even if you got it late Thursday US time...

Since I love speculating, and the one report so far is out of Shanghai, I'm now guessing they'll be on FDX28. :) Leaves Shanghai ~9PM local time, which is 9AM EDT. Not listed as having operated last Friday, although it did the Friday before that, so it could be a different flight, but the timing would be similar to connect to continental US-bound flights from Anchorage... which could get those MacBook Pros to most people on Saturday if Apple wanted them to!

Shipped, yippee Estimated delivery 22nd bit curious says that the courier is UPS Ireland. I even have a full tracking order this year.
 
Anybody know if it is possible to contact fedex and pay extra for expedited after it's already logged into their system?

I didn't go with the faster shipping originally because the shipping estimate showed the same days either way. Now i'm thinking that extra couple days would be nice.
 
Just shipped Shangai, CN via Fedex. Est. Delivery April 22

edit: I'll be expecting it early. Fedex is nice to me like that.

+1 for UPS Ireland. Anyone been able to track it with them yet, mine just says "not found"?

Funny thing is this whole massive wait for the MBP (with seemingly no end) has made me a bit more patient. Yes, I would love to have had it by the weekend but I am just thankful that the end is in sight (even if it may slip a day or so because of a bloody volcano!) :D

Untill like 5 min ago UPS also couldn't find it. Now I can see it in transit on ups.com

It might take longer than a day or so i fear. The volcano is afaik still spewing.

CNN:
"You really need two things to happen: you need the volcano to stop emplacing ash to the altitude that commercial aircraft fly at, 30-35,000 feet, and you then need the upper level winds to blow the ash and disperse it out of the airspace," he told CNN.

How long that will take "depends very much on the volcano. If this is it and it's stopped right now and it doesn't do anything else... I imagine you are looking at 24 to 48 hours to clear U.K. airspace," he said.

Exactly the same here... maybe yours and mine will have a seat on the plane next to each other LOL!

I am guessing it will be delayed a little too, although hopefully only by a day or two. Will be interesting to see where it flies to.

Do you guys know if there is any lag on the Apple Order Status Website???

My status changed to Prepared for Shipment at about the same time (yesterday) that those who reported shipping this morning... I'm still hoping it'll ship today.

I ordered a CTO 15", located in Switzerland.
Order Date: Apr 13, 2010 at 05:53 AM PDT
Delivers: 28 Apr, 2010 - 29 Apr, 2010

At first it shows up that the "our delivery" and the "carrier tracking" numbers are the same, then after a while the carrier tracking number gives the proper number that you can track on the UPS/FedEx website.
 
Disappointed

My status sat at "Prepared for Shipment" for around 18 hours yesterday. Now FedEx says that it was received after the "CutOff". I assume when the status went to "Prepared for Shipment" it was in a box on the loading dock. How could it miss the cutoff?

Further it says it is not scheduled for delivery until 4/22/2010. Eight days (Including the day it sat on the dock) to ship to Florida! Pretty disappointed! Not sure if I should be disappointed in Apple or FedEX or both.

ok, thanks. i asked HOW you ordered it, though. expedited shipping? i was wondering because i wasn't even told that was an option when i ordered. april 28-29 seems a little late...

I don't think this has anything to do with expedited shipping. I am in th UK and I have had the same experience. My initial estimate was 21-22 and now UPS says 19th.... but I did order literally 2 mins after the site came up.

dammit, i am really a patient guy, but waiting until april 29 is a bit too much.
