Disappointing when you see orders placed later than yours get ready for shipment earlier. :( It seems like that the glossy hi res screens are taking longer based on many of the reports here. The anti-glare hi res screens are already in stores, so i'm not surprised that people who ordered that option are already getting shipping notifications. Hope there's not some production issue with the glossy screens holding them back.

:( Ditto, ordered Apr. 13, 10:40AM PDT, located in Atlanta, GA. Same specs as yours but with 7200 RPM HDD. I also noticed there's a major lack of hi-res, glossy screen shipments... I've wasted way too much time checking my order status today.
 
Just got my shipment notification and tracking number. Estimated delivery is April 20 :(. Maybe I should call and see about getting them to remove the expedited shipping charge since it doesnt seem to be all that expedited.

I just got the tracking number as well and it says April 20th as well. That is definitely NOT expedited...and apple is currently "paying" for the expedited charge...LOL...what a joke.
 
I just got my tracking number as well.. as I don't have mine expedited the estimated delivery was April 22.. a week from today :(
 
Whao, I wouldn't be able to handle the wait! Was tempted to order it online for a high-res screen, but decided that my 23" screen is good enough, and that a higher res on the 15" might be too high for me :p.

God mine on Tuesday.
 
I paid them same shipping fee nag getting delivery date of 4/20. I will be calling in the morning to get my $$$$$ back for that and maybe a few other percs.

Do you have origin/pickup location information yet? Are you shipping to the continental US, or somewhere else?

...just obsessed with figuring out how/where things are shipped in general, though I do want my own MBP to ship. :) If we stick with assuming FedEx out of Shenzhen (or other major Chinese origins), fedex.com even quotes shipping from there to the East Coast, shipping on Friday, arriving in the US on Saturday for about $70 (for a random 1lb package) or Monday for about $60. So if your MBP already shipped, a Tuesday delivery seems a bit off for expedited shipping.
 
I am getting unpatient since everyone elses orders seem to be "processing" or on their way.

I ordered a BTO i7 17" Antiglare MBP on April 13th. still says "not yet shipped" but it also says:
Ships: 2 - 4 Business days
Delivers: Apr 16 - Apr 22

so I better get it before April 22 or else I will be very angry.

Just shipped 10 minutes ago, (3 day build time) with an expected arrival on the 22nd, the last day they had promised to have it to me.

W00t! Shipping from Shanghai... CTO hi-res..500 gb 7200rpm.. 8gb ram.. 15" i7.

Estimated delivery 4/20. You know what... I'll take it... been waiting since October 5 more days it's going to kill.

Anyway...I doubt they will charge the expedited shipping, Apple usually works these things out. I just really really hope it doesn't come Saturday because I shipped it to work, which is not open Saturday.
 
13" BTO ordered 9am PST April 13 just shipped. Expected delivery April 22 (standard shipping... wonder if i can still bump that?)
 
Mine just got shipped as well. ETA: April 20th around 10:30AM.

Not the Saturday I was looking for. Heh. Oh well.
 
Your right....tuesday doesnt sound like expedited shipping...and apple is paying for it....thats 4 day shipping bc mine is shipped already from today. Expedited stated 2-3 days....is it worth it to call apple and complain? What do you think?

Whether it's shipping from Shenzhen or Shanghai (which is an hour closer to Anchorage), FedEx most certainly offers Saturday delivery for packages from either to the continental US... Or Monday, if Apple doesn't want to pay the Saturday premium. Unfortunately "expedited" is only quoted as 2 business days by Apple, so Tuesday falls within the rules. But I'd still call and ask for the expedited shipping fee to be refunded, especially since they've told various people that expedited stuff can indeed be delivered on Saturdays.

They did refund me...but they did tell me it could be delivered on saturday if it was shipped today.
 
i'm getting an applecare replacement. My order went in at 11 this morning. I have expedited shipping on it. Its the low end i5, with hires antiglare. It says it ships in 1 to 3 days. :(

Shipped "today", these apparently being the first shipments out, means they're shipping Friday evening China time, which is Friday morning US time (they're 12 hours ahead of EDT.) So since people are just getting shipping confirmations, they are shipping Friday, even if you got it late Thursday US time...

Since I love speculating, and the one report so far is out of Shanghai, I'm now guessing they'll be on FDX28. :) Leaves Shanghai ~9PM local time, which is 9AM EDT. Not listed as having operated last Friday, although it did the Friday before that, so it could be a different flight, but the timing would be similar to connect to continental US-bound flights from Anchorage... which could get those MacBook Pros to most people on Saturday if Apple wanted them to!
