Haven't heard from many Aussies here, mine hit Sydney today so probably will get to Perth tomorrow and to my door on Tuesday. It's a mid-range 15" with Hi-res screen ordered on the 13th.

Apparently our MBPs never left china. The "Germany" location referred to data processing that happened there. that's all.

The situation is quite bad here in the UK. It's more than just delivering MBPs. People are stranded abroad, and soon companies will start thinking of imported food and medicine shortages!!

On the BBC website someone wrote that they had to hire a taxi to drive them back from France for £2000 . The cost would have been much higher if they stayed in France waiting (hotels, food etc..)

So we should be the last to be frustrated

it won't be that bad, most imports come from ships anyway

I ordered my standard baseline i5 15" friday morning, got the free shipping, and it was delivered saturday by 5pm. I am amazed - I didn't pay for saturday shipping! I wasn't expecting it until monday at the earliest!

Very frustrating.....Ive been with UPS, and for the past 24 hours, its stayed the same info. They gave me a estimate of tomorrow for delivery.

Anyone with UPS with similar information of being stuck in Louisville with no movement?

Mine is now in Memphis. My est delivery is wed though, if they fly it I don't see why I wouldn't have it by at least Tues. We will see where it goes next.

Question for ya. I'm also UPS (Canada) I received the Shanghai ORIGIN SCAN notification 2 days ago and nothing else has popped up since... how long did it take for yours to update with its arrivals to anchorage, memphis etc..

it's been origin scan/in transit as the only update for 24 hours now.

I don't think it is unusual to not see activity with UPS on the weekends once you are in the US.

If you're within 200 miles of Louisville, it may have been put on a truck and you won't see anything until it arrives at your local center..

I'm at the same stage. I think this just means the paperwork processing/clearance in Germany is all done, now just a matter of delivery. I guess the MBPs are still in China still.

Neither FedEx nor UPS would purposefully delay packages unless it was upon the request of the sender (like when the iPad was released and a lot of people thought they'd get it before the release date based upon tracking info but then it went into a hold for delivery status).. It doesn't benefit them to just keep your package laying around so they don't deliver it early.

I've never gotten anything via UPS early, but I have received items from FedEx a day early. I've also seen that on previous "Has your [hot new Apple item] shipped yet?" sort of threads, so it wouldn't be unheard of. However, I also wasn't able to find any FedEx flights from Memphis to Atlanta on Sundays, so most likely it's a Tuesday at earliest for us Georgians. If yours is already in Memphis and you live in Atlanta, I think you'd definitely see it before Thursday.

thank you! that's what I was thinking because I also ordered a sleeve for my MBP with an est delivery of the 17th but when it got local the delivery date changed to the 16th.

Woke up to find that my package arrived in OAK and then leave OAK after a hour. Hopefully it reaches LAx today and closer to my area. Lol

Actually, for those of us in Atlanta.. if your package is in Memphis already, there is one regular FedEx flight from Memphis to Atlanta today, FDX921, which leaves Memphis around 4:00pm, arriving in Atlanta an hour later. That's the best bet any of us have for a Monday delivery here. If you get a departure scan around 4pm today, that's most likely the one it's on.

But if it's not on that flight, Monday delivery looks to be out for us -- I can't find any that operate on Mondays for MEM->ATL, but there are several that go around 3am/4am on Tuesdays (FDX1421 and FDX1463) which could potentially get unloaded and routed to a local distribution center in-time for Tuesday 10:30am deliveries.

Of course, FedEx might add a flight if there's large enough volume to warrant it (just like the 8 flights from ANC->MEM yesterday which was unusual based upon past history), so who knows!
