Although my machine is listed as Shipped I have just noticed that the funds have been returned to my account.

Anybody else experienced this?

Yeah that always happens when I use my debit card. The auth falls off from when you made the purchase but apple didn't process the final sale yet. You'll see the money come out within 24 hours or so.

That explains it, thank you.

Long time lurker, first post. Here's my info, I ordered a 15" hi res. Live in St. Louis with an estimated delivery of 4/21.

Ordered on the 15th

Some more points of data for people trainspotting this process. I ordered a 15" i5 with HR screen and 7200rpm drive at ~1AM April 15, PST. I also paid for expedited shipping.

Sometime last night ( it's about noon here now ) my order went from 'not shipped' to 'prepared for shipment'. My ship / delivery restimates have always been:

Code:
Ships: 1 - 3 business days
Delivers: 20 Apr - 26 Apr

Will update as events warrant.

Aside: still cool to see everything in NA goes: Shanghai => Ancorage => Memphis, I remember that from when I bought my 1st-gen MBP.

I'd hate to break it down to you all but the volcanic ash are gonna stay in the atmosphere for some 2 weeks or so. And if the volcano that just erupted (call Eyjallafaljlaa or something) triggers it's neighbour giant volcano 'Katla' volcanic ash from that can last for 4 months.

Throughout the past 2k years the volcano erupted 5 times and 3 of those times it triggered Katla as well.

No worries, there's too much money lost already. The three largest airlines have been flying empty planes to test the conditions, over the last 48 hrs. They've had no problems at all. There is a safety meeeting today and I'd bet they resume operations soon. Yes, there's the chance of exception but they are losing far too much money to delay unless it's clearly unsafe.

Just saw my 17" CTO sticking out the back of Hamilton's McClaren, very nice of him to bring it back personally.

As a former racer & F1 enthusiast, I'm green with envy. You must have great connections. The good news is you'll have it soon. Yet I would caution you to check you're MBP for loose screws. Upshifting that beast at 17,500 rpm is in a word * violent *

Cheers... :)

Ugh :( I know I ordered a few days after you guys, but it pains me to see my MacBook Pro still not even being prepared :( Come on! :p

Still hasn't even prepared for shipping! Ugh, I hate this wait :(

Mines been on "departed FexEx location" in Oakland for 11 hours now. Hopefully it went to LAX today.

As crazy as it seems, it might show up in Memphis first... FedEx is on a hub-and-spoke model, so most packages in their system will cross Memphis even if it seems really out of the way in terms of the final destination. I know someone else saw a MBP go from Oakland to Memphis today -- and they live in San Jose. It might be that they "un-bundle" the palette of orders in Memphis to separate them into individual packages. Let us know what your next scan is when you get one!

Mine says Shanghai still...this is worse than the update.

It's Monday there shouldn't the package departed by now?

If I remember from about 20 pages earlier in this thread, the FedEx flights out of Shanghai leave in the evening, or early morning for us here and there's no flights on Monday. You'll probably wake up tomorrow to see an "in transit" scan with it actually arriving in Anchorage by lunchtime tomorrow (Alaska time).

Hopes of an early delivery dashed...

Seeing how my order is in transit to Atlanta now, but with a delivery date of Tuesday, I called FedEx to ask what the possibility of a delivery tomorrow would be. They told me that since the date had already been set, it wouldn't be delivered until then even if it gets to Atlanta today. How disappointing, especially for those seeing their order getting close to them but with delivery dates of Wednesday or Thursday! I can only hope the rep didn't know what they were talking about, but she seemed pretty confident in her answer.

For those of us in Atlanta, this is my latest tracking data (as of 1:42pm today).. My expected delivery date is Tuesday, the 20th. Anyone else with a later delivery date but similar tracking may get it sooner. I'm hoping for a Monday delivery, but guess we won't know anything until it gets to whereever it's "in transit" to.. Could very well mean loaded on the plane and ready to fly to Atlanta on the 4pm flight (FDX921), or that it's now on a truck to Atlanta, or perhaps that the "bundle" of other MBPs it was with has now been split up into individual orders. Any other guesses? :)

Mine is going to Florida and mine came into Memphis on the same flight. HOWEVER!!! Since I didn't order faster shipping mine is still in Memphis. I guess they are going to kick it around for a few days since my order isn't to be delivered till the 22nd. Seems like a hell of a way to run a business but I'm sure they know what they are doing to maximize their profits.

Oh well guess I'm waiting till Thursday.

I'm so impressed with FedEx & Apple.

My first estimated delivery date was the 22nd
Then a day later it was the 20th
Just now it departed Oakland, a modest 40 minute flight.

I called FexEx International & they confirmed delivery to me by 10:30 am tomorrow!

WoooHooo!

Good Luck to those who are still waiting :)

Nice! Where do you live?

Looks like my 17" CTO may finally have left China? Showing an estimated delivery of 4/21

Anyone know where the Fedex flights from Guangzhou head to?

I guess it might be a long week for me then. Still crossing my fingers for a delivery before Thursday though.
