the speck has scratched my 13"

also, i own the trackguard and keyboard guard by moshi, its great to have not a waste at all.

what's the best keyboard cover in the market right now that's not too edge cutting on my wallet?

I'm still thinking of buying a palm guard as well.. Want to keep this machine fresh as possible.

I know someone who dropped a phone on top of their Speck case on their laptop but when they opened up the speck case, the phone still dented the computer.

does anyone know if the incase hardshell is actually THICKER than the speck hardshell?

Because you come on here asking for help with your stupid(possibly false) problems and demand help in multiple threads for the same "problem" and when someone asks for help you treat them like crap

your post is invalid

couple of quick questions, I purchased the incase hard shell for my 15 inch for a trip I'm on...

Got it black, but it is definitely purple in some lights, is that the colouring or did I actually get a purple instead of black, I can't find anything about a dark-purple case on the website...

Also, the only annoyance/and/or/problem with the case is that everytime I open it, it appears to catch on the left side and makes a noise, should I return it and get a different one? If it happens for every case I will live it it, but it is quite annoying, and only appears to happen on one side.

I have yet to remove the case and I just snapped it in as per the directions so I don't think I've wrecked anything...

Thanks for any help!

I found the Speck Satin See Thru case easy to put on and remove. I also noticed it to be more flexible than any other plastic case I've ever gotten. They also feel good when holding it on your side. Similar to suede.

I used to have a plastic hardcase on my 06 MBP and the thing was such a pain to remove. I even snapped a bunch of the clips and hurt my fingers in the process. I threw that case away.

Hahaha suicide wrists. I have the same case in black and it is awesome!

i dunno why but some macbooks, the manfacturor person does a good job "shaving" the edges down to make them blunt, but ive seen macbooks with the edges that are near razor sharp XD

unfortunately my new replacement macbook pro are razor sharp

yes the incase one do tend to have a purple tint to them, mainly when the apple logo shines through. if u dont like it, return it to the apple store and i reocmend getting the incase frost white if u want to stick with that brand, it looks nice. or the speck see thru CLEAR. i have yet to try them but they look the best in terms of color

if I take mine off in the light, yes it has a purple tint to it... if it bugs you, return it. I find it doesn't show up in day to day use...

I have noticed that it's not there in the day so I think I'll be fine with it...

What is bothering me is the "clicking" when opening the macbook. Doesn't seem normal, does it happen to anyone else?

I just bought a keyboard cover for my 11" from Rearth. Search for some videos on YouTube. I know DetroitBorg has a great review on it. It is what made me decide to buy one. I absolutely love it, definitely recommend it!

Edit: The keyboard cover is $12 by the way

Has anyone who has actually used a Speck or Incase on their MBP 15 had a problem with their MBP hinges?

I heard a "Genius" telling a customer in our local Apple store that he wouldn't recommend any cases because they loosen the hinges over time.
