Has your SR MBP shipped yet?

If I understand what you are saying... that extra bit should fit into the power brick, if you slide the other wall connector off the brick.

That's how it works on my iBook.

Thank you very much it does! I did not know it did that and did not want to force anything pulling to hard. Once I read your reply I felt better tring it with the kind of force it took to break it loose. What is the purpose of these two anyway? A plug is a plug to me, other than maybe the 3 prong if you dont have a 3 prong outlet.
 
This is my best machine!

My hopes and dreams came true this morning as the Fed Ex truck pulled up and delivered my new MacBook Pro today. I got it all setup and as I was putting all my stuff on it I got to watch the updates of WWDC on macrumorslive.com.

This was my best day of the year so far!

Thats great and I am glad to hear people so happy. It is a great feeling when things lke this go so well. This is my first mac and I am very excited about it as well. Good luck with your new machine.

Well, the one cord makes it longer. It's more for when you're at the desk I'd say, compared to being on the go. That is, if I understand what you are talking about correctly. Think of it as an extension. I guess it's also got ground proteciton.

Yeah it connects to the power block if in doubt RTFM :D

I suggest you call the 800 number that someone posted a few pages back (search this thread for '800'). I would guess your package has been 'lost' - just like mine. The last update for me was at 3am this morning. Now, when I call Fedex, they tell me the package is lost.

Yours hasn't been updated in 2.5 days...not good news man. Fedex told me a lot of laptops and ipods have magically disappeared recently. Chances are our laptops are in the hands of some late night fedex employee.

Yes I know, but keep in mind this is my first mac, the new SR with everything I was wanting and I have only had it for a few hours, so the manual is going to be read later this evening when I am in bed.
 
so my order status says it is supposed to ship between june 11 -13, did your order tend to ship on the front end of this timeframe or the back end?

I only upgraded the HD to 160GB @ 5400 and the order was placed fri june 9 at 7:30am, which is sort of like first thing this morning since it was already 7:30pm in china on friday.

I would be somewhat disappointed if it did not get here before the weekend.

According to the TNT web tracker mine is still in Shanghai :mad:

Although it hasn't updated since the 10th. I suppose just an hour or two until we see if they are coming this morning
 
i am assuming tnt is just for the UK and is not some sort of special tracking tool ?

Pah, my MBP is having a 24 hour sightseeing tour of Arnhem. Get a move on you lazy git of a computer.
 
could anyone please tell me what the best way of tracking a TNT shipment to London, UK is? I got the shipping notification from apple yesterday, and I have both the Delivery reference number and the carrier tracking number (quite different). The courier is assigned as being TNT. I get very little information out of the standard TNT tracking site, just stating that the mbp is coming to London and that it was collected on June 11 - no status on its whereabouts...

TNT website says it shipped on june 10th, however just got of the phone with TNT and according to their database it shipped june 11th from Pudong.
They also expected the item to go through Lierse, not Arnheim. They suspense is killing me!!!
