Placed my order for a MBP on the 8th June and now its had the flight booked. The Expected Time of Arrival is the 15th June.

Anyone else place an ordrer around the same time and where abouts in the system is it?

Re: Stuck in Memphis

My 15" 2.2GHz stock has been stuck in Memphis since Sunday as well. After reading a couple of the posts that indicated "lost" machines, I decided to give FedEx a call. They have insisted that the package is not lost, but is in a container and has simply been pre-empted by higher priority packages. It's expected delivery date is tomorrow by noon so they told me there should be more status updates to it shortly.

Mine just updated too:

12 jun 07 86 14 booking slot obtained Apple Shanghai 13 jun 07
12 jun 07 30 10 departed direct NLAMS07 14 jun 07
12 jun 07 40 69 accept scanned at EDC NLAMS07 14 jun 07
10 jun 07 32 55 flight departed Kuehne & Nagel Shanghai 14 jun 07
09 jun 07 32 05 Flight Booked Kuehne & Nagel Shanghai 14 jun 07
09 jun 07 30 64 Departed from source Kuehne & Nagel Shanghai 14 jun 07
08 jun 07 30 63 handover at supplier Apple Shanghai 14 jun 07

Our laptops must be on the same pallet!

I believe that the booking slot obtained means that they now have a scheduled drop-off time at the UK Warehouse, sometime tomorrow.

Mine might just make it out onto the truck on Friday, but almost certainly by next Monday.

I suggest you call the 800 number that someone posted a few pages back (search this thread for '800'). I would guess your package has been 'lost' - just like mine. The last update for me was at 3am this morning. Now, when I call Fedex, they tell me the package is lost.

Yours hasn't been updated in 2.5 days...not good news man. Fedex told me a lot of laptops and ipods have magically disappeared recently. Chances are our laptops are in the hands of some late night fedex employee.

Good luck.

Mine's been stuck in Memphis for the same amount of time - my MBP's itinerary looks very similar to yours (out by an hour at the most, on each line item). It's slated for delivery on the 13th, but I haven't seen a change in status since Sunday at about 11:30am. I'm guessing that they're all getting to Canada at the same time.

I'm slightly disappointed by this because I was at a local Mac specialist and they had 2.2 and 2.4 15" MBPs in stock, on SUNDAY. Oh well... all I can say is this thing better be in perfect shape (i.e. no dead pixels, no case problems, etc...) otherwise it's going back to Apple and I'll pick one up locally.

It's actually on truck for delivery today-- one day earlier than expected... It did disappear from the map for 3 days while it didn't have any new tracking info, but looks like I was worried for no reason :)

My MacBook Pro is out for delivery right now! Not bad considering it left Shanghai on June 9th.

bastard! ;)

Mine was ordered at 7:30am on Friday and still has not shipped yet. It is 2.2GHz and only upgrade is to 160GB HDD @5400. I really love and really hate the whole china is 12 hours ahead thing, in my case it screwed me cause it was 7:30Pm friday night when the order went to china, so in effect Monday morning is when my order was placed.

open question: how many days from ordering it did it take for you to see order status change to shipped?

i can understand some of the numbers, but what in the world do you have going on there? I will bold the ones I don't understand what they refer to:

yes i placed at 7:30AM on June 8th. Where are you seeing arrival, all I see is not yet shipped? It might be because apple is replacing my Powerbook with MBP and the order number is not directly associated with my name.

Gah, mine is still not trackable on apecode, and tnt online hasn't been updated since:

Code:
10 Jun 2007 18:12 Shanghai Shipped From Originating Depot

And it's suppose to be here tomorrow!?

Mines still waiting for the plane. I cannot wait much longer

11 jun 07 30 64 Departed from source Kuehne & Nagel Shanghai 15 jun 07
09 jun 07 00 04 Picking confirmed, EDI received Apple Shanghai 15 jun 07

8614 is nothing meaningful its an internal code.

the 13th is the day it is expected to be handed to the courier

Have a look at apecode.com

thanks for the hint. I just tired it though and all it says in bold is "tracking status for ###" am I supposed to see something?

Wait, is this supposed to be for UK orders? I am in the US.

Well, I don't know what the codes mean, but the 'Booking Slot Obtained' text means that K&N have a scheduled time for the delivery to be offloaded at the facility in the UK. The 'Apple Shanghai' bit confused me when I saw it first, but it doesn't mean that the package has flown back to China, it appears on all the tracking logs that I've seen. It's probably the logistics equivalent of a pingback.

The next update should tell me that the truck has arrived at the UK facility, so I'm awaiting for the magic text 'truck arrived at final destination' to appear on Apecode. The 13 jun 07 tells me that they reckon that will now happen tomorrow (previously they were estimating the 14th).

About 24 hours after that (Thusday 14th) I should be able to track the shipment to my door when the TNT/UPS tracking goes live. If I'm lucky my laptop will cross the Irish sea on Thursday night and be out for delivery on Friday, but it's more likely that it'll get held up somewhere en-route and get to me on Monday (or even Tuesday)

I'm in the same boat really - my tnt hasn't updated and I still can't track on apecode. Phoned apple this morning and the lady didn't say too much, just that it may not come on the 13th after all but may be friday or even monday. Phoned TNT this afternoon and the guy said it's on a plane and he see's no reason that it shouldn't be delivered before end of business tomorrow. So who knows really

Yep, Apecode only works for European orders. If you're in the US your stuff is coming to you by FexEx a lot quicker than ours are coming to us European types.

And it doesn't work for ALL European orders either - it shows absolutely nothing for me (and several other members above).

me as well.
Getting really bored of this. Really, really BORED!
Hey, heres a great idea- shall we all stay in at home from the 13th onwards and bill Apple for lost earnings etc? In this day and age there should be more current information available. Never buying from the Apple store again.

(edit-although I'm pretty sure I said that about the mammoth delays with the Tiger OS disc deliverys!!)

Same story overhere. I am however still hoping/expecting it to show up in Arnhem somewhere this evening. Please? Will you?
