me as well.
Getting really bored of this. Really, really BORED!
Hey, heres a great idea- shall we all stay in at home from the 13th onwards and bill Apple for lost earnings etc? In this day and age there should be more current information available. Never buying from the Apple store again.

(edit-although I'm pretty sure I said that about the mammoth delays with the Tiger OS disc deliverys!!)

Mine is still in shanghai...
Not a chance that i get it before friday.

09 jun 07 30 63 handover at supplier Apple Shanghai 15 jun 07

Damn shipping, why waiting 4 days to put those macbooks in a plane , can't they have some extra or larger planes. (we all paid around 2000 euro for it, so that should be possible)

So if my macbook takes tonight's flight (which i hope). it will be tomorrow in NL. and then they have to merge it and then ship it to me, Is your MBP in the UK already, and do they merge in the same night/day of arrival? so could yours be delivered tomorrow if it arrived today?

Apcecode tells me 16 june, but that's a saturday!!!

Can't Wait !!!! oh btw, is 12pm noon or midnight !??! tricky question heh? Got my red nano today!

From my FedEx tracker:
Jun 12, 2007 12:49 PM Departed FedEx location MEMPHIS, TN

It was sitting in Memphis since Sunday at about that time. Finally changed its status.

BTW, does anyone know what timezone FedEx displays? UTC, shipper's timezone, receiver's timezone, timezone of the location making the report... anyone know?

local timezone. so if it's in Memphis, it's Memphis's timezone.

Well, we don't have an "Apple Store" in my city but we do have a really good reseller. I placed an order with them on Tuesday June 5th at 8:30 am (just as they opened). I've just been in touch with them to check on the order status and they are saying that it will be here sometime next week (roughly two week order time).

The reason for ordering through them rather than online was so that I could fully inspect the product before taking possession.

*sigh*

For those people who can't track on apecode, was the MBP the only thing you ordered? Wonder if you didn't order any other items and it didn't need to merge and it's flying straight from Shanghai to the UK (or at least something we have in common that explains why we have no apecode info).

12pm is noon, 12 am is midnight (and is the start of the next calendar day).

A further confusing time element is the notion of fiscal day versus calendar day. (I deal with this at work all the time) In a single fiscal day we will experience a 1 pm hour on say June 6th which will be followed 12 hours later by a 1 am hour on June 6th. June 7th would begin at the close of business (3:00 am).

The reason that I bring this up is that I have had to deal with shipping companies before, that defined their time based on a fiscal day but they would neglect to inform you that it was 'fiscal'. The final element of confusion is the term "business day" which is traditionally the 5 days of work (Mon-Fri).

Ahh you could be onto something, i only ordered the macbook pro and i cannot track on apecode!

I ordered only the MBP.

I'm on apecode and i got 2 items and they are merging..... so that blows your theory :p

Don't trust FedEx too much, got mine 1 day before their "estimated delivery date". Apple was right on track with their estimated date.

I really hope that you are right! Apple told me originally that they would ship latest the 8th, then nothing. After a few phone calls, discovered that because of the high resolution display upgrade, it was delayed until the 15th for shipping. Well, product was shipped on the 11th, but since my precious missed the FedEx cutoff, it technically got shipped the 12th (China). I called FedEx and they said it would be delivered tomorrow (as I had priority overnight - whatever that means. The girl I talked to said that if it's in the same city you can expect overnight, but anywhere else, it's just a rough estimate is all they can say). Well, since it still says in transit, I called FedEx back, and they said no way tomorrow, the next day for sure. This is all confusing!! I need to stop reading these forums, all the positive feedback on these screens is cutting my productivty into nil.

Er, no. Theory seems sound to me. You have a merge - you're on Apecode. I have a merge, I'm on Apecode. Ischemic, twynne and Teucer don't have merges and they're not on Apecode.
Yep, MBP only and no Apecode. It doesn't fly straight to UK but goes via the distribution hub in Arnhem, Holland.

I just checked with TNT (as I'm slowly learning not to trust Apple) - and they've confirmed it will be delivered tomorrow. She said a number of customers are having trouble with the web site(s). Mine still shows:

Date Time Location Status
10 Jun 2007 18:12 Shanghai Shipped From Originating Depot
09 Jun 2007 12:00 Shanghai Consignment Received At Transit Point
09 Jun 2007 09:13 Shanghai Consignment Picked Up

YAY! Good job i have done extra revision today to cover tomorrows time off! ;)

Actually a merge is less likely to show on Apecode as a merge goes via Walsh Western and is distributed by UPS. Apecode specifically deals with the European Distribution Centre (TNT) and TNT themselves.

Are we all going to get them tomorrow morning before midday then :p
And who gets the unit with stuck pixels..? (tempting fate a bit)

heh do not do a murray walker on us... man he used to say things, and then bam it would happen. lol

even if its got a single dead pixel the damn things going back to apple. for the price, and with todays LCD maturity i expect zero stuck/dead pixels.

even one is totally unacceptable with todays technology. a few years ago when LCD's were emerging and alot of new panel techs were coming from the drawing board yes i would of expected problems....but not now.
