yeah the store is still down and I ordered mine on June 10th and no updates at all so far. It's still supposed to be shipped by today at the latest and I'll be really pissed if nothing happens today. I might have to talk to the manager's supervisor's manager and threaten to recommend that we do not renew out developer memberships for NYU's ITS people, see if that can get me some more answers. I really can't believe there is no warehouse in the US that has at least the base models on stock. C'mon, they stocked all the stored with computers that had to be sorted and organized to be sent to all the stores before revamped MBPs were sent to all the stored before the announcement, so this is bs.

I think yours might get shipped today (14th). I ordered mine on the 11th, and it shipped today...

for everyone that got updates shipping information, can you please post when you placed your order and what it was? let's see who's still waiting and for how long for these MBPs..

I ordered mine on June 10th, it said that it should ship out June 12-14, and get delivered June 14-19, but I think we can rule out June 14th delivery..
I'm getting the new base 15" MBP.

Ordered on the 11th and it said 12-14 / 14 - 20. Now I can't check the update but I guess we'll be on the same plane. :)

I ordered mine June 7th, last Thursday, around 7pm (EST time). They shipped mine yesterday (June 13th). The only upgrades I got was the 17" Hi-Res Matte screen and 160gb @ 7200 rpm.

I ordered mine on june 8th. Standard MBP 15" 2.4GHZ. It Shipped on the 11th. At present the flight has departed with an ETA June 15th. I would then imagine I would possibly get it on the 19th which Apple predicted.

I'm so disappointed with Apple. If I purchase on apple.ca and I pay in Canadian dollars, with a Canadian credit card, I expect them to ship from Canada not from motherf***ing China. Damn it!

I indebted myself for $3000, my ipod shipped from China and my MacBook Pro hasn't shipped yet. I ordered it on the 11th and spent the last few days hitting the refresh button. Last time I checked my laptop is not shipped yet. Now the Order Status page is not working. What's wrong with Apple?

I know I'm being impatient, but I'm very disappointed by their way of dealing with new customers. :( :( Now, who knows when my laptop will finally arrive... If I just went to the retail store I could have obtained a laptop on the spot. Live and learn I guess. Damn it! :(

hey i orded on thr 5th!

no sign of anything yet

today is the 14th. thats 8-9 days..... i unacceptable. never buying from apple online or over the phone ever again. and this is only my first apple experience....

Aaron, if I purchase an item from the US or from Canada I expect them to ship from North America. If this is not the case, they should clearly state so on the checkout page. I've spent extra money for the 2 days delivery, what for if I have to wait at least a week to even get it shipped? But yeah, I'll try to relax. :)

Kinda sucks, yeah...The 2 day delivery is after it arrives on US soil, I guess in your case once it gets to canada. So, you still will get it earlier then with regular delivery. Especially if the 2 day means not having to wait a weekend.

actually I talked with 2 apple store people, 1 developer connection store person, and a general supervisor and they confirmed that there is no such thing as "standard overnight" or "2-nd day" shipping for items that come from China. That's the standard Apple store protocol to show all the shipping methods but it only applies to products that are bought and are available in your respective country. Also, call them up if you paid extra for 2nd day or overnight shipping and they should give you all your shipping money back. They did this for me and some others as well. Once the MBPs reach the US, they have to sit in customs roughly one day, and after that it's roughly 2 days (they ship during the weekend as well) to reach any point in continental US.

You do realize that they're built and assembled in China right? I mean Apple's not shipping them from China to accrue frequent flier miles. If you ordered a stock model then yes you probably would have been better off at one of Apple's retail stores. If you had upgraded any of the components then obviously the online store would have been your only route.

that's if you don't want to take advantage of an educational or developer discount, and if there's an apple store in your state..

I have chased TNT this morning and they have said that they will ring me back in the hour to let me know what the current status is. Will post any information I get back here.

Really? In the UK at least, I was made aware I could get such discounts in store, providing I had ID, but I opted for online because mine was customised, and in-store would simply place an order online and send it to my house (which I'm perfectly capable of, without a trip into the city centre )

On the plus side, for any who had theirs in Walsh Western yesterday, my tracking status has updated with UPS - and it's due for delivery today (I think!)
Typically there is part of today when I will be out  (no doubt that's when they'll deliver!)

Asked Apple what's the progress with this TNT thingy going on and on.

Well, apart from things I already knew (that my order is not the only order having delays) the chance it can be delivered this week is very low and weekend delivery is not possible.

:(

Yes you can get the educational discount at the store, but that's why universities have their own computer shops where you get your discounted computer anyways, plus usually some extra software for free. Believe me, I work for the largest private university in the US. However, you can't get developer's discounts at a store, which is what us IT people have..

Ah right I see!

And taking a google around other sites it appears UPS often deliver before 1pm/2pm *hopes  *

when did you order yours and when was it supposed to be processed and start shipping?

I know this was directed at eenu, but as mine was probably travelling alongside...

- ordered 5th June 12:48pm (BST) [4:48am Pacific Time, I believe] (customised for 5400rpm 160gig HDD)
- "shipped" 8th June
- arrived at merge couriers yesterday
- arrived at final couriers today (or late last night)
- out for delivery today :)

Yeah that is the same as mine except it was the stock 15" 2.4Ghz

Good for you! Mine is is in limbo-land, it's been at 'booking slot obtained' since Tuesday. It was scheduled to arrive at Walsh Western yesterday, but I haven't had any updates. I've managed to figure out that if it left with UPS yesterday I should have it tomorrow, otherwise it's probably going to be next week.

I placed my order on Tuesday 5th (at about midnight, local time) for a CTO 15.4 / 2.2
