how long did it take for you to get an update from the departed direct for EDC?

mines still at that stage, but i am hoping that its not updated because its been trucking through europe and maybes made it to the depot very late on a night

hopefully it'll all come out in the wash today, will apecode still work or does apecode stop tracking after EDC?

apples order status is about as much use as a chocolate fire guard.

First post, but second MAC. In the UK. Ordered a 15 2.4 Glossy on line.

I ordered at 0147 on June 5th
It shipped on June 8th
Tracked through apecode OK
Left Shanghai 8/9 June
Got to Nuneaton UK on 12 June (merge in transit with a airplane cable)
UPS shipping from there
Out for delivery now. :) :) :)

Hope it helps some of you in the UK work out where yours is.

mine departed for the UK as of the 12th, so i am hoping that it is definately in the UK right now, hopefully to merge with my copy of parallels and be out for delivery 2moro.
 
I should have been more clear in my previous post. I suspect the delay will affect UK/EU orders that are shipped via TNT only. If you've ordered multiple items (therefore another courier is involved) of if you're in North America (Fedex) I don't think you're affected.

It's just those of us suffering with TNT.

So has anyone with a TNT order seen anything leave China since 18:12 on 10th June?

Once Apecode states that 'truck arrived at final destination' it stops tracking the package, this is when it arrives at the distribution centre. Theoretically your apple store status page should update shortly after that with a tracking code. That tracking code might not work for a day or so though.
 
Oh - and a small suggestion. Go and put your location into your profile using the 'User CP' link at top of the page. It makes it much easier to determine which posts are relevant in this (growing) thread. :)

Just over 50 consignments from Apple have been delayed on this flight.

The plane has now been fixed and is on its way to Frankfurt.

Delivery should take place tomorrow.

That status came on the 11th and didnt change to 'truck arrived at final destination' until the 13th when it reached the UK distribution centre

You would have sped up your MBP shipment if you had just bought parallels online! I hope you got version 3.0?

Maybe parallels isn't available (in short supply) as 3.0 was only just released and that is what is holding you up.

I just spoke to TNT as well and they believe the consignment was 'trans-shipped' via Frankfurt but are awaiting confirmation. The woman dealing with it (Paula White) has sent messages to Frankfurt and Arnhem for confirmation, and is supposed to contact those affected once she knows.

She did say if confirmed it will likely deliver tomorrow. Here's hoping. Thanks for the update Nicklad. Let's hope we're celebrating tomorrow. :D
 
I just got of the phone with TNT in Sweden. They told me that my MBP had left Shanghai and reached France although it still says it's in Shanghai on their website. Delivery tomorrow or Monday. :confused:

well i dunno, guess i should of just bought online, i got a discount on it mind.

but by your logic, i should get the update today.

you got 11th to 13th
mine should therefore be 12th to 14th hopefully.

im willing to be it'll be the old parallels knowing my luck. in hindsight it was a stupid decision to get parallels there and then, but the recent news about 3.0 slipped my mind.

it was like a few days later where i realised "crud, theres a new parallels literally round the corner"
 
Mine seems to be on the fast track. It is already in Dulles. Still shows delivery tomorrow though.

going off what happened with eenu, it took two days from departing EDC to get to the UK and then another day to go out for delivery. so 2-3 days maybe? your probably looking at monday/tuesday next week

I don't know if Apple send an email (my delivery hasn't got that far yet) but I doubt it, the best place to check is your Apple Store Shipment Status page, which should get updated with courier details a day or so after your delivery gets to the Distribution centre.

As for the courier, it seems to be sometimes TNT and sometimes UPS. If you have a merge-in-transit UPS seems to be the more common choice.
