They showed 0 inventory at stores today. I literally showed up at 2:20 at Michigan Ave with no reservation and was back at my office with a X in half an hour. I could have bought a second if so inclined.
There's hope then.. I'm going tomorrow then..in the morning.
 
I’m still waiting for a bump on delivery for mine.

Thinking of getting up at 6am to see if I can get one at an Apple store and prepay and then drive there (it’s a two hour drive.)

My complication is that of course my number is held up with the preorder. I have other lines on the plan, but they are on the Next plan from last year. I can’t pay them off as if I would, I’d lose the credits we are getting from last year’s crazy-good promo where we got $650 in credits for trading in the 6.

If I would use one of those lines, but through the Apple Store pay in full for an X, would that screw up my Next plan on the line that was used? While adding to my cart in the Apple store app, it pops up a screen and tells me I still have installments left on that line, but never states whether it has to be paid. It allows me to get past that screen and add it to my cart.

Any experience with this?
 
BUMPED from Nov-17 to Nov 24 to Nov 14.
So here is the weird part:
Nov 3rd shipment but delivery date Nov 14: Why almost two weeks? UPS uses planes (maybe UPS is having capacity problems)

UPDATE: I checked UPS and delivery date is Nov 9. So I got bumped from Nov 17/Nov24 to Nov 9. That's 1 1/2 weeks delivery vs. the 2-3 week I got when I placed the order. Happy Happy Joy Joy. I also just received the IUP return kit notice.

all of you that are cancelling orders and picking up in store, did you all do full price orders, or did you do ATT NEXT or anything like that. Or do you just call and cancel while in the store physically holding the new one.

I did Iphone upgrade for the 6s+ and 7+ and always got it on the first day for local pickup. but this time when it finally let me in the apple store to order, @ like 0315am EST, ship dates were already 17-24. but at the same time ATT still had the 3rd. Im still really shocked that ATT could deliver on time shipments vs APPLE this time around.

My preorder was an AT&T Next upgrade. I got in line at about 5:45am, there 20-30 ahead of me. Once I got to the front of the line they asked what configuration I wanted and if I wanted to wait or come back later, this was a reservation either way, I chose to wait. Once a specialist came and got me and had the phone brought from the back, I canceled my preorder and my AT&T Next upgrade reset within a couple of minutes. From there it was a simple transaction using my AT&T Next upgrade.
 
No movement here either. My patience for seeing any movement is wearing thin. I know it will eventually, but I'm tired of waiting for eventually!

I was reading all your comments and decided to go down to my local Victoria Gardens store on my lunch. I called ahead at 11:30am and a woman said they had PLENTY of 256 ATT Space Greys in stock and she’d set one aside for me. I was down there in 10 mins only to be told that all iPhone X’s sold out at 9:30am. The employee had no idea who gave me that time frame.

Wtf? So upset. Thank god I didn’t cancel my order through the app.

I just want my phone. I have two cases and a glass protector already. I mean I have a 7+ so i’m not in need. It’d just be nice to have ATT Next users get a ****ING bump like everyone else.

I'm with you, man. I'm holding on my pre-order till i get one in hand. I'm going down to my local apple place in the morning.
 
I was calling to the apple store before a couple of hours ago and she told me that tomorrow they gonna get a new stock and I can come by and buy a new one

but this's so ridiculous, that we're the pre ordered feeling like we're not counting anymore

Just hold on to your pre-order and go down there.
 
For those considering canceling once they confirm they can get a phone at the store, give it like 5 minutes after you cancel to let your phone number be unlocked for use. I canceled it via the app and we got on the phone with customer service but issue resolved without them.

Just canceled my order. Looked at instore availability and the apple store by me has stock. Picking the phone up later today.

I am also one of the ATT NEXT plan people that received the 17th-24th window and had not seen any movement whatsoever after ordering at 0311 EST on the 27th. The only thing keeping me sane was this thread and k owing I wasn't alone. Read about possibly pickup in store today. Just cancelled order (took a few minutes to clear system)and have a check in window at 10:30am this morning to get new phone. Pre-order is ridiculous. Had silver 256gb in stock apparently.
