I thought about the 8, but I wanted the full screen that Apple finally included!! The rounded edges is why I kept my iPhone SE for a while. The designs in between the SE and X I didn't care for. Upon first glance, the screen ratio height-wise did look long, but just like the notch, I don't really notice it anymore. I wouldn't have minded an iPhone 4/X hybrid where the phone was more square, keep the glass back, improved imaging, etc., and large enough to have the larger screen and full screen as it does now.
Thanks to the advice of you all i stopped by the Apple store after work around 5:00 and bought two phones. I was shocked they had any stock. I’m a T-Mobile customer but bought AT&T versions and swapped the SIM cards. Cancelled my preorders so I hope they get to some of y’all earlier.
Would I miss out on any of the Tmobile features/network if I bought the AT&T version? I would just have to buy a new sim from Tmobile or use my 7+ SIM? I might have to do this, just want to make sure it will work with my Tmobile ONE account. Thanks for the help!
Thanks. So strange our phones all arrived in Incheon atm 7:26 but many appear to not have left I yet. It seems my phones every year take extended tours rather than direct to Anchorage. Last year my 7Plus got in the magical cyclone tour on Taiwan and delayed for a day almost not making launch day. Most planes went up and around but mine seemed to need to visit Taiwan first and got delayed by that cat 5 cyclone.
I always get messed up using features with Flight aware went back to start and did the to from search and found that also. This morning was not sure how to figure out what flights were leaving Incheon Int. Hopefully mine is on this next if the scan was not missed on UPS99 but I am hoping ours is all on UPS99 and pallets were just not all scanned ;-)

Has anyone canceled a Verizon upgrade to buy in store? I don’t know how quickly my “upgrade” would return, and I don’t want to get stuck in the middle. Still no charges or changes to my order status.
Has it been rumored that Apple will open Reserve & Pickup in the US tomorrow? If so, what time Central time?
256GB silver, full price, ATT, confirmation email received 3:18 EST, still nothing happening.

Reserve and pickup...no. But evidently you can PAY and pickup starting at 6am local time.

I hear ya. I’m 4 Minutes earlier than you. Thinking about getting up at 6am tomorrow and checking stock at Apple Stores near me, then driving 2-3 hours to get one!
No. The AT&T version is identical. Just insert the SIM from your iPhone 7
The Sprint and Verizon versions have a CDMA radio but also support AT&T and T-Mobile. I had a “Verizon” iPhone 7 that I used on AT&T.

I had a pre-order at 13 past the hour. 11/17-11/24 window. My card got pre-authorized but I never got a status update. I found out that Michigan Avenue still had plenty of stock at 2:15 and headed down there. I was in line for about 10 minutes and out the door by 2:40. Glad I didn’t camp out in 41 degree whether like the person who showed up yesterday at noon (according to my sales associate).

Where can you reserve online? Is it the same route as preorder except you choose the store for pickup?
I caved and went to stand in line at the Apple Store before it opened this AM, with success.
My shipping status hadn't changed from 11/17-11/24 and Apple never called me back yesterday. So, I went to bed last night at 11:30PM even though I'm usually awake till 2-3AM and I usually then sleep till 10-11AM in return.
I woke up at 5:20AM about 30 minutes before my alarm, got dressed, and headed to the local Apple store after I saw that my shipping still hadn't changed this AM and remained at "Order In Progress". When I arrived there were about 60 people in line ahead of me, with the first ones in line since 8PM yesterday.
It was 34 degrees for most of last night and the five peeps in the very front were there all night, and it was 38 degrees when i got there at 6:00AM. Most other people had chairs and blankets, and few brought scraps of carpet or carpet pad to sit on or lay on. There was only one tent. By 8AM when the line started to move there were another 60 people behind me.
Despite the cold weather, I was pretty warm the first two hours, with a heavy coat and warm shoes and a thermos of hot coffee, sitting in my portable chair and blasting Kygo out of my V-MODA Remix bluetooth speaker which everyone seemed to enjoy.
The store manager came by right before the doors opened, with coffee and fruit cereal bars, and then it only took about an hour for me to make it to the doors. While the line was moving they had staff checking what models we wanted, confirmed stock, and made a reservation with our name and phone number for us.
I wanted the unlocked Verizon 256GB in Space Grey, that's compatible with all networks but to use with my ATT account. But they only had ONE 256GB Verizon phone left by the time they got to me, and it was Silver. But they were letting us get 2 phones (and I had two active phones with me anyway), so I got the Silver Verizon plus a 256GB Space Grey for ATT so I could decide later which version I wanted, and give the other to my wife.
The Apple Store has a nice alignment rig for the Belkin glass screen protectors, which they said have a 1 year replacement warranty if you contact Belkin when you break it, so I had them install one on each phone while I was there. But I tested only the Verizon phone with my ATT SIM and it worked fine and I left with both phones.
I did the screen protectors on both since I figured my wife or daughter would want one, but I was wrong. She wants a vacation for Xmas, and my daughter with the slower iPhone 6 (who would have received my wife's old 7 as a hand-me-down) already has enough Xmas gifts and she wont get the spare. My other daughter and son are happy with her 5SE and his 7+.
While I dislike the shiny bezel/frame I really like the silver/white glass back, much more than the black glass back. And I want to keep the unlocked 4-carrier version. I might electroplate the silver bezel to a darker grey color, or have my watchmaker give it a brushed finish to make it more light grey than shiny. But I'll try it as is with a nice case to cover the silver first.
So I have to decide if I'll sell the other one locally, or return it for a refund. I really don't want to sell to a stranger online and be subject to scammers, who are always one step ahead. The guy that was behind me in line got two ATT 256GB and walked next door to an ATT store and sold one for cash and a $250 profit, after posting it on CraigsList while in line and getting 3 scammers to call him within 20 minutes.
I'm just not that kinda guy. I offered to sell mine to a few people who were left in line an hour later, but none of them wanted a 256GB or didn't want to pay cash - they wanted to pay Apple with credit card and couldn't buy it if I returned it because it had been opened to install the protecter and Apple would have sent it back to refurbish. Kinda silly to do that with an unactivated new phone, so I figured I check with family and friends before I return it.
I've been burned by paypaler's before, even when I have the UPS Store double box things up with me videotaping the process and proving the chain of custody with UPS. Eventually coming-out ahead, but only after the stress of PP initially siding with buyer and making me fight to get the held funds back.
However, if anyone here live's along the front range in Colorado and wants to meet up with me for a cash transaction on the grey 256GB ATT I'd consider doing that if I'm comfortable with it. And give you a fair price with a small markup for my trouble and waiting in line - either with the AppleCare+ that I bought with it, or after getting a refund for the AC+ policy.

I hate putting on screen protectors myself and that looks like a pro job. I'll probably take mine to a ATT store to have it installed lol.
My paid in full pre-order with shipping date 11/17 - 11/24 still shows OIP status but Apple drafted the full amount($1092.41) from checking account today. Its cleared my checking and funds were removed. After they drafted the money I was hoping to see a update from Apple but it still shows OIP with same shipping date. Has anyone had Apple draft the full amount for the phone but not change the status? I thought that they only drafted the funds when they shipped the phone?
Does anyone know if the reserve and pickup will work if you have a phone on order already? Getting up for work at 6a regardless but just curious if anyone has done this in years past. Thx

So did yours track from Icheon, Anchorage and to Ontario? Or did it just "show up" at Ontario. Most of us have seen nothing so only hoping mine is on USP99. Given the flights today from Ontario to Louisville they won't start until tomorrow AM around 4-8 PDT. Meaning not til 6-10 my time so maybe they will be in Louisville late morning-midday or so... which still works as I have had them come in early in AM and then ship the next day to near me to wait until the next day when delivery is scheduled.Aye my phone on the same plane lol.

Make sure you are logged in to UPS, mine times out after being on for hour or something and then the time of delivery is often not there again just day?

Mine came from UPS99. Icheon, Anchorage and landed at Ontario a few minutes ago. I was tracking it with UPS and Flightaware.com lol (A little obsessed, yeah?). I don't think we have the same plane though, because the departure and arrival scans are different, but the route looks the same.
I would hate to see it go to Louisville, but it probably has to. Just want it here! Saturday would be so sick but I doubt that it would come tomorrow.

Yes that is the UPS99 plane been following hoping mine is on there. the time of arrival in Incheon is 24 hour clock it was 7:26 PM local time it seemed all the people in Korea tour even if the phones made to Anchorage were from that time but yours was different?
I don't think the plane goes to Louisville the numbers of flights from Ontario are different, so packages, pallets may be split at that point if they are all there which has not been confirmed yet. I am starting to think with nothing showing yet mine is not on UPS99 but will leave Incheon later, sometimes UPS logistics just is nuts and not seemingly efficient to me. Hopefully some things were not lost ...
