What the heck!!! I️ was trying to cancel my order on Apple.com and it says I️ need to contact Apple to cancel it. It is still OIP and 17-24. Local stores show availability. Come on!!

Does anyone know why an iPhone that is financed through Apple upgrade program is ineligible to cancel?
 
Probably has something to do with the loan through apple. Might just want to go instore and see if you can change to just pick it up.

Folks it’s been fun (not really!:confused:) . I woke up this morning and saw that my phone still have not budged, so I placed an order for a pick up today at an Apple Store two hours away. Would really rather not spend my Saturday morning driving four hours total, but I want my phone dangit!

I did try to use a different line on the account for the purchase (so that I didn’t have those panicked moments between canceling my order with Apple and getting one placed through the Apple store), but alas was not able to do so. The other phone on the line that I would use has an installment contract through AT&T Next, and it was telling me that I would have to pay that off, and since I have an existing promotion on it from last year’s awesome trade in offer on the 6, and I’m still getting the credits for the trade-in offer from last year, I did not want to risk it. So I canceled my order through Apple and then had about five panicked moments until my upgrade eligibility was reset on my line so that I could then re-order from the Apple store.

So in a few hours I’ll have one in hand!

Yes, it shows OIP with November 17-24 delivery. No email confirming shipment. Only charge to CC was a few days ago for the taxes. It won’t let me cancel the order. It says to call Apple, but Apple customer service won’t open for another two hours.

Pretty frustrating when you see local Apple stores with stock.

The order is tied to my ATT account and, obviously, i cannot buy more than one phone on the same line.
 
Does anyone know if the reserve and pickup will work if you have a phone on order already? Getting up for work at 6a regardless but just curious if anyone has done this in years past. Thx
I tried this morning. Looks like I have to cancel my preorder before I can reserve a phone...... even though I would be paying in full.

Man that would be frustrating. Only hope I have is that it’s actually oreparing to ship and your status just hasn’t updated yet.

Do you have another line on the account you could use to get your phone held st an apple store? Is that what you’re trying to do?

Nothing for me either this morning. And no stock in any of the stores here in Mpls at this time.
10 of 12 Florida Stores have silver 256 available. This pre-order has been crazy. Lost a nights sleep could have and did walk in yesterday and buy one. I know that doesn't help you unless you're up for road trip:)

Just scheduled my pickup for tonight. Canceled my order last night. This phone is either under demand or they were able to make a lot in a short amount of time.

Cancelled my order and got pickup in Apple Store 1 hour away. Decent availability for launch weekend in store but Apple really screwed up pre-orders for this launch.

I was ATT Next, 256 GB, SG with 11/17-11/24 delivery. The only change I ever saw was going from Order Placed to Order in Progress. No tax charged to CC and no bumps. Set my alarm for 6 AM this morning, checked local Apple Store inventory via the Apple Store app and when I saw my phone was available, I cancelled my pre-order. I tried to do a new order immediately but the first couple times it said I still had a pending order. After a couple minutes, I tried again and was able to process my Next order for the same device and line for pickup today. So finally some change! This time, it was worth getting up early. :cool:

There are so much iphonex available for walk ins but they can’t start shipping ours
Too bad there’s none available in my part of the world otherwise i would cancel this ****** preorder asap!

Congrats to you! No road trip for me. My CC has already been charged so I just have to be patient while my hubby sits on the edge of the bed playing with his X that he picked up at the Verizon store after canceling his preorder that showed no movement at all and a delivery date of the 15th.
