Click on "Cancel Items" (the text) instead of the Cancel Order button. Then Submit. Worked for me! I have a 256 silver ATT reserved for pickup at lunch time today! I couldn't stand the wait when I know I can get it today!

I hit Cancel and received a notification that my Order can't be canceled. I am guessing it is probably preparing to ship but my order info hasn't been updated. I feel like half a fool for waking up at 3:00am, not getting a launch day phone, and now not being able to walk into my local store to get the exact phone I want while they sit there on the shelves. Smh.

It told me the same thing. Then I hit the grey cancel order. Not the blue one. Then I was able to cancel.

I had the same issue. Use the chat function to get an advisor. It's to the right of the specific order. It took several minutes for one to become available for me, but she canceled the order and I now have an appointment to pick one up today at my local apple store.

This process is a bit of a joke. So many people pre-ordered and non-ordered phones are sitting at the stores.

I’m not cancelling mine until phone is in hand. Who knows what could happen. The card I have it on will not allow two authorization charges on it so that will prevent them from shipping my preorder in the time between now and my reservation.

I would go this route for my husband (we ordered together by a few minutes), mine should deliver Monday, but his is still OIP. Since we both did IUP, probably more hassle than it’s worth? Not even sure it’s possible.

I got both a 64GB and 256GB reserved for pickup at Rosedale.

Space grey though...

When? Was there a lot of people? I stock now doesn’t show any availability at Rosedale now. I’m considering canceling my order and picking one up. Dumb question...will I have any issues activating my phone if I upgrade my wife’s phone until I pick up then cancel my order?

My order was IUP. Had one reserved 12 minutes into the pre-order process, but was a Nov 17-24 delivery. I went online this morning and saw that my local Apple store had the one that I want in stock. I had to wait an hour for chat to open. Once it did, I canceled my pre-order. I then called Verizon to make sure they showed that the order was canceled - and they did. A few minutes later, Apple.com showed that my phone line was available for a new phone and I placed the order for pick up today. Once I had a CSR to chat with, it was very quick.

Hiw can Apple give a December date for shipping while iPhone x are abailable in store for pickup?

That's what I am wondering. Maybe they are trying to get more people into the stores so that people pick up accessories when there? Just a guess.

So then what happens to your old loan since there’s no trade in? That’s the catch for us...

Congrats to you! No road trip for me. My CC has already been charged so I just have to be patient while my hubby sits on the edge of the bed playing with his X that he picked up at the Verizon store after canceling his preorder that showed no movement at all and a delivery date of the 15th.

Just because your CC has been charged, doesn't mean you can't go pick one up. Mine was shipped and my CC was charged. I said "forget this" yesterday morning, rolled into Target, and rolled out 15 minutes later with my shiny new iPhone X Silver. I'm going to refuse shipment when it comes, then the sale from Apple, on the IUP program is null and void. I've already sold my iPhone 7 Plus for $500, so my $350 Citizens One Loan is going to be paid off today. Then I'm through with the IUP program for good. I joined Verizon's iPhone Every Year plan for $41 a month, and bought a one year SquareTrade warranty for $80 that covers everything AppleCare does (for $199), minus tech support which I don't need. I don't need a two year AppleCare plan when I'm only going to have the iPhone for one year. I'm never doing this late night pre order garbage ever again. And I've continued my streak of having every new iPhone that I wanted at launch :)

The system let you order a second one before cancelling the first order? Apple or att forced me to cancel before I could finish my reservation for one for store pick up. I nervously did it since the guy at my Apple Store told me yesterday that they had "abundant stock but could only sell through reservations" but boy would I have been jaded if by the time my order cancellation fell off my in store supply was spoken for.

There's no catch, they will have to cancel the loan, and they DO NOT do a hard credit pull, unless you are a new member of IUP. Yes it did. I'm with Verizon and I had no issues picking up an iPhone X yesterday. I was a member of IUP, and my card had already been charged and my pre ordered iPhone shipped.

I was able to cancel. Now I just need to wait for ATT to release my number.
I didn't cancel my order until after I bought and activated in the ATT store. Didn't have a problem with the release, but I have no contract obligation.

Well that was easy. I cancelled my launch day order and was able to reserve one in store. Quick question I chose to pick up later this afternoon around 5PM, if I showed up at 1PM would it be possible they would have it ready?
