Okay. Thanks. Just thought phones would have to clear customs in Anchorage so there’d at least be a scan for that.

Interesting that the anchorage scans did not show until after UPS99 landed in Louisville this AM. What is weird is that the departure/arrival scans for Anchorage are much earlier than UPS99 was there and left there, but the appearance coincides with arrival of UPS99 in Louisville an hour ago. I give up figuring out all the logistics LOL

No arrival scan in Anchorage for my phone that has 8:15 Incheon departure scan. Thinking it didn’t actually make the 7:05 flight but will make next one, but the next flight isn’t showing up for me on FlightAware, yet.
Showed up after the UPS99 arrived in Louisville hour ago. the times do not match the departure of UPS99 from Anchorage even though the departure from Incheon did. Oh well our phones are almost here. UPS texted me and emailed me my phone arrives tomorrow by end of day. So it is near curious if it got ti Louisville earlier or the arrival of the UPS99 plane and general scans triggered the Anchorage arrival and departure info?

UPDATE I got a scan update for Louisville (does not say) but about 4:30 CST (5:30 EST) it cleared customs and I also got text and email from MyUPS the it arrives tomorrow

Based on other planes leaving Incheon to Anchorage, I think UPS put our phones on another Korean airline with superjet that actually departed at 8:15, but only had 90 minute flight time. I have arrival-departure scans in Anchorage too. No scan in Louisville, yet v

just got a departure scan on one of my phones stuck in Incheon

Incheon, Korea, Republic of 11/05/2017 7:05 A.M. Departure Scan

My iPhone X has been in customs for two days now. I'm glad I went to the store and picked one up on launch day instead

I agree it cleared customs about 4:30 CST (5::30 EST which would imply Louisville because it is EST)
So the "superjet" is a much faster flight? I was not sure the departure time and arrival given the crossing of international date line

I had the 11-7 to 11-14 ship date, after reading the posts in this thread I canceled my order. At 6:19 this morning I was able to order one at a local SF Area Apple store. ATT Space Gray 256

Good for you! I'm just tracking my original shipment now so I can be here to refuse it when it gets delivered. I picked mine up on launch day, no wait or anything. I'm finished with the IUP program. Never again will I do this pre order dance.

TMo 256 paid in full.
No charge to card
Still showing 17-24 delivery

Spoke to an apple rep, her response is below

"Since the estimated delivery date is November 17-24, it is possible that the order status can change to preparing for shipment this coming week. But really, that process takes maybe a day or 2 before it is shipped out. i wouldn’t expect to see a change until a few days before the 17th. In case we are able to get it shipped over by the 17th"

Meh

Unless you are nowhere near an authorized Apple retailer, I would strongly suggest picking your iPhone X up in store.

Sigh, saw availability yesterday, but was unable to make it happen. Looking today, nothing available. Will try tomorrow... Otherwise, still 11/17-24... Annoying.
I don’t mind having options. If I can find one at my Apple store before my 17-24 goes to shipped, I’ll cancel, but glad I have the one in order. There are none in our area today or yesterday.

I believe that Apple with be facing another class action lawsuit over this launch debacle. Specifically, it was supposed to be a better experience for IUP members, since they lost a class action suit for what happened during last years launch. Regardless, if people are up early on the morning when preorders open up, I realize that not everyone is going to get launch day delivery, but what happened with the Apple Store app being down is inexcusable. It is Apple, not some third rate tech company in the middle of Montana. They should've, and could've been prepared to handle whatever amount of traffic that was thrown at them. I'm sick of people giving these major tech companies a pass because they "just couldn't handle the traffic". That is 100% Grade-A BS!!! I suggest everyone make it known to Apple, that this experience was lugubrious at best. I also agree that it is unfair that people who woke up early to preorder, have ship dates in December, and people are showing up and buying in-store without a wait, some on launch day. This is wrong. I love Apple, but the proverbial ball was dropped again this year. Tim Cook is a poor CEO. He used to have the Supply Chain down, however he is slipping here now as well. Profits are clouding his judgment!

Just about 12,000 KM's away :D , not in the US. Having it shipped to a relative who will be travelling to my country and bringing it with them.

A royal pain in the arse ordering a phone from another country.

By November 24th, nearly everyone will have an iPhone X, who decided to bail on their shipment and go to a store. Sad, but true. The supply shortage was drummed up garbage. They snowed us big time, and it was a flat out lie.

Still nothing on my two IUP orders minutes after pre-order. Anyone see any movement this weekend?

There was stock of the silver 256 locally yesterday and today. No SG though. I have one silver and one SG 256 ordered.

Wow sure enough that was our phones to a "T" in time. I kept just looking at UPS flights and the UPS99 was close alight half hour of departure time. Interesting

So curious it left Anchorage (scan at least) 7:18PM AKDR (4:18 CDT). Does not match any departure I can find from Anchorage at that time to Louisville assuming it went to Louisville but customs clearance was 5:51 EST --I think but now my browsers and UPS both say 5:51 local time not EST So not sure it was Louisville or maybe Chicago (see the flights I found from Anchorage below. Of course it is no big dig more just curious the route is all ;-)

When I look at generic departures from Anchorage in the time frame I get the following ;-). nothing really close in time so wonder if the package got moved to a UPS special I am not finding. again just curious as it is in eastern time zone assuming Louisville but these three show up also:

Just something to do for my wait tomorrow for UPS delivery ;-). As a retired geologist/paleontologist I am always curious about how things worked/work than anything ;-)

I don’t know why this shipment tracking thing is so stressful to me. This is exactly why I wish it came on Friday so I could enjoy my weekend. Now I wake up randomly at 3 or 4am to track my shipment it’s insanity......

Absolutely crazy indeed we are such apple nerds LOL and curious about the travel of our special "new toy" LOL. But also we are dangerous to ourselves because we can check flight schedules and track with apps and all and know too much but in respect very little of the actual UPS logistics. Maybe we think we are in control of the journey of our "precious" LOL but yeah I have tried not to stress this year but the 24 hour delay in Korea got me near the end when I could not figure things out LOL.
