The joys of being single. In my family the husband is required to relinquish items that the mast... ..err um wife.. wants more. Bad husband, or good wife in this case?
But it works both ways. In my case my wife apparently doesn't want to upgrade from the 7 to the X, so I have an X-tra I'm selling locally or returning.
Hopefully they get caught. 300 more people in line would have gotten phones yesterday. In San Francisco they stole $370000 worth
Almost the same situation here. I pre-ordered at 12:12:AM on 10/27 and got the 11/17 - 11/24 delivery date as well. Early Saturday morning, I woke up and saw that my model was available for store pickup at every store in town. Cancelled my online order then proceeded to pay in full and choose a store for pickup.setting up my iPhone X now
preordered 10/28 12:20am 11/17-11/24
Logged onto Apple this morning and saw every store had availability.
Canceled my preorder. Waited 5 mins for ATT Next to reset and reserved for pick up at 6:05am.
Never ordering through Apple app again. Id rather take my chances for an in store pick up the day after a launch.
Wondering that too. Been constantly refreshing the order page of my iPhone X, but than realized that any bump might only occur on weekdays. Not sure if that's true tho?Do bumps occur only on weekdays? Has anyone seen a bump on a weekend?

I waited for 2.5 hours at an Apple Store today and walked away with nothing. Going to try tomorrow at 6AM to order for in-store pickup. That's apparently when it opens online. Still no movement on my order.
Yeah not loving that none of us have arrival info yet...No arrival scan in Anchorage for my phone that has 8:15 Incheon departure scan. Thinking it didn’t actually make the 7:05 flight but will make next one, but the next flight isn’t showing up for me on FlightAware, yet.
The flight from Korea UPS 99 continues on to Louisville after making the stop in Anchorage. No scans there, but most likely enroute to Louisville with 8:46 AM Sunday arrival. My guess 50% of getting Louisville scan Sunday. Okay. Thanks. Just thought phones would have to clear customs in Anchorage so there’d at least be a scan for that. The flight from Korea UPS 99 continues on to Louisville after making the stop in Anchorage. You're welcome. They do have to clear customs but that's no guarantee UPS did a scan for it. The customs check probably involved looking at the plane manifest and giving it an ok.Okay. Thanks. Just thought phones would have to clear customs in Anchorage so there’d at least be a scan for that.
It would be good if places like eBay and Swappa would register the serial numbers of phones being sold...then anything that gets blacklisted could be highlighted quickly and the authorities looped in.Hopefully they get caught. 300 more people in line would have gotten phones yesterday.
Still nothing on my IUP orders. 256 Silver and 256 SG ATT. Local stores had plenty of stock. Don’t want to cancel and mess up the IUP enrollment or get a hard pull again for no reason.
Well, was the first time that I pre-order, but I don't think that will do it again:
I've seen a lot of comments saying that it isn't worth pre-ordering since you can just walk into a store and get one even hours later. This is the first year I can remember that this is the case. Maybe Apple has changed the way they allocate phones, in which case this strategy would work. Maybe this a strategic change by Angela.
If they go back to the way things were in the past next year, you'd have to get in line hours (days?) before opening to score a phone. Last year it took me a week of checking the 10 stores within 50 miles of my location to find my phone, and this was two weeks after launch.
It depends upon your risk tolerance. Have a guaranteed phone if you pre-order, or chance getting one in the store.
I thought they did customs in Louisville? My past scans showed that. I think one year the customs was delayed too.Okay. Thanks. Just thought phones would have to clear customs in Anchorage so there’d at least be a scan for that.
Same thing for me. I paid in full, off contract, and I could only order 1 at a time. I had to cancel first. AT&T.I paid in full too. No contract anywhere, but they were still saying I could only order one phone at a time. Odd.
Yes this is true. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area & On November 1st or 2nd a UPS truck was robbed of over 300 iPhone X’s at the Stonestown Mall. It’s real it was all over the news!!!I saw an article that said some UPS trucks were getting robbed of the iPhone X. Can anyone confirm this?
