So it seems everyone is canceling their order and buying in-store. For those that are still waiting who paid in full -- did you finally get a bump?
No. Still waiting. No bump.

Apple rep just called me and I shared my frustration but he gave standard answer. I told him I’ve been on board for ten years and never saw a launch like this one. First time not getting one on launch day much less launch weekend. And without a bump still around two weeks out maybe. He thanked me for my feedback and asked what he can do. I said get me my phone on Monday.

I cant cancel, I don’t want to have to go threw another credit check for the iup. Still have no movement on the date.

Preordered on Oct 27 and got the Nov 17-24 date. Paid in Full, Silver, 256, ATT. Nothing since then. Just "OIP." This morning I checked our local stores at 6am and both had phones available, so I cancelled my preorder and ordered the same phone for pickup at noon. Now have my phone in hand, and all set. No more waiting for my order to get "bumped." This is one awesome phone. The faceID and swipe functions are great. Love it. Hope all of you get yours soon.

Still nothing on my IUP orders. 256 Silver and 256 SG ATT. Local stores had plenty of stock. Don’t want to cancel and mess up the IUP enrollment or get a hard pull again for no reason.

How sure are you?
If you cancel you will have to go through the credit check again with citizens one, it’s for one phone, not 2. Even to exchange a phone they need to reverse everything and do a pull all over again. It’s a real PITA

The last post is correct but since the credit check is coming from the same company within a 30 day period they use the original score, meaning your credit score won’t get hit twice since you have already approved.

When I ordered 2 iPhone 7’s last year I placed 2 separate orders and my credit was only used once. The same thing happened this year. You can call Apple or citizens to verify. If you place 2 orders under the same name and ss# they run your credit once, as long as the order is done within 30 days. It’s the same company running a credit check. It’s not an entirely new check.

Will Apple stores be getting new stock available for pickup tomorrow? I almost canceled my IUP this morning and reserved one at a local store, unfortunately an Apple rep told me I would have to wait a week to get approved again. By the time I figured out she was full of s$&@ all the phones were gone.

Do you have to have the credit card you paid with to pick up the phone at a store? I want to purchase a phone for my son who is at school in another state for him to pick up at the store closest to him. I would be paying in full.
All I had to do was show the QR code that was sent in the email from the store stating the item was ready. However, the carrier requires you to be an authorized user in the account, so be sure to call your cellphone provider and have your son added

December 10, do you think there will be iphoneX available to pickup store? I'm asking because here in Brazil we will pay IOF (tax) to buy with an internacional credit card
Is there a friend in the USA that would allow you to have it shipped to them and then you get it from them upon arrival?

Exact same scenario for me..had a four hour round trip to the closest Apple store, but the wait is over!

OTOH I have never seen Day 1 in-store availability like I did yesterday. Michigan Avenue had steady traffic all day (big lines in the morning and at lunch) and yet I still got in around 2:30 after a 10 minute wait and walked out with a phone. Just about every configuration was still in stock.

I think a lot of the frustration is that it seems every year there is a different “best” way to get a phone on Launch Weekend. I believe with the 6 the only realistic way was the pre-order since there was so little actual inventory in the stores. By contrast they didn’t even take pre-orders for the 5s. Their press releases for the X implied they would have limited stock yesterday but that was not the case at all. Carrier stores had little but Apple had plenty.

Check Monday. I’m guessing you’ll see an update.

If history is any guide they will get shipments tomorrow. Check at 6am using the Apple website.

I'm planning on canceling as soon as they become available at a store near me. I'm willing to drive 2.5 hours! lol

I did 2 phones yesterday, me and my dad. Both returning iPhone upgrades. They ran my credit for each phone. Not one credit check for 2 phones. I’ve been at this for 3 years now with them.

And I specifically asked if I wanted to exchange my silver for a space gray what would be the protocol. I already know since it happened last year, just wanted to make sure. To exchange the phone they return everything and it’s a new transaction, which means they would be nailing my credit again. Quite annoying, but this is the way Apple and citizens one have been doing it, and it’s no different this year.

I alread had to do it twice lol. I ordered a phone and then I got my reservation emailed to me 12 hours later with a quicker date.

Damn, I understand what you’re saying and I’m sorry if I’m wrong. I can only speak for my experience and last year I purchased 2 iPhones which are now paid in full and my credit score went down 2 points from each credit bureau.... this year I cancelled my preorder and placed a new order for pick up. I canceled the original order 3 days ago and I called citizens bank. They told me they would use my original approval for the new phone to pick up in-store. I’ll know for sure in a few days but based on last years experience I believe them because i think my credit score would be reduced by more than 2 points if I credit checks are done.

Pretty ridiculous for a phone. Mercedes is an easier lease...lol

That’s accurate. I chatted with somebody from Apple about my order and asked if I cancel mine to order at store if they going to check my credit again. They said Yes because the ordered is canceled and other order starts. Everything will get checked again.

Shipments for Sunday sales?

In my family the husband is required to relinquish items that the mast... ..err um wife.. wants more. Bad husband, or good wife in this case? :p

But it works both ways. In my case my wife apparently doesn't want to upgrade from the 7 to the X, so I have an X-tra I'm selling locally or returning.

He’s on Verizon and I’m At&t, plus I wanted Silver and he has SG. But I did go out and get a new Apple Watch series 3 for myself. Old one was dying to quickly. So I’m happy right now with that till my phone comes in on Monday.

Also canceled and re-ordered for in store pickup. When I first ordered, I had no problem waiting 2-3 weeks. But after seeing how available the phone has been, I'm pretty peeved with Apple.

When I went to the store on Friday, I literally saw people walking out with. 2 new phones and then get back in line and wait to buy more.
