Because so far all the updates I saw were for people with the IUP. Or at least the more significant bumps in days. Didnt see anyone with ATT Next gets a bump of a week or more, but would love to know of people so could be more positive and hopeful
 
The only thing more annoying than those whining about Apple not doing them right are those whining about their ability to wait. Yeah we get it. All. the. time.

I'm AT&T, paid in full. Ordered through Apple.com (after the app refused to load). Got in around :15 (although my e-mail doesn't show a confirmation until :26) and have had Nov. 17-24 the entire time. Haven't complained or filled out any forms.

That was on my second attempt. I had a reservation go through before I tried again successfully, but I let the reservation expire after it showed the same delivery window. Figured I'd just stick with the score rather than attempt to go after the other one where the grass wasn't any greener. I would love just a one-week bump if anything. I don't need 11/3 or anything -- I can go a week without seeing anyone's unboxing videos, but two is tough!

Is anyone thinking of camping out? My store is Apple Williamsburg (Brooklyn). Newer store, not as crazy as the ones in Manhattan. I was thinking of asking about how bad the lines are when I go in to pick up my case today. I don't want to wait overnight but I'd show up early.

So got an unexpected call from a manger at Apple just now (TX), lol I got excited, but really it was about having two iPhone X orders associated with one number at one point, I guess their system was delayed, because I canceled one of them as soon as the reservation number came in.

Either way, I let him have it, but in a very nice way. I told them I know I'm sure there is a lot going on with your folks and that I appreciate you all, but I just walked him through how I first started out with the Apple Store App via iOS, all was going well, but the Citizens One load errored out. This is where I want to give my feedback, once it errored out, I should have been given an option to try a different method of payment and allowed me to continue with my order (not a splash screen apology, that made me start the entire process all over), because by then the shipment dates were later (off course this is two attempts later) the system failed me, and as such I am now stuck with a later date.

Also some additional feedback I gave was that this entire ordering experience kind left a bad impression, especially since I am spending $1200+ on this device (a first for any mobile phone device). One may consider maybe cancelling their iPhone X order, and keeping their device. Take me for example, my iPhone 6S+ which is in almost brand new shape, and running iOS 11 beautifully, is a good example instead of shelling out 1k+. >> and no joke I have contemplated this..

Either way just some FYI, according to this manager, their is nothing he can do or anyone for that matter when it comes to bumping up shipping. He said regardless of experience, the orders shipment is handled in the order it was received.

I told them I understand, I wish him nothing but the best. He ended by saying he thinks it may come sooner :)

So we'll see.

Come on bro, I am not wishing any of you not getting your phones early. I called and b*tched about the TERRIBLE pre-order experience, AND the slipped shipping date. He offered me a case at first, but I had already bought that, then he offered me one of the wireless charging pads and I was not interested in that. He asked me what I was interested in and I said honestly, next on my Apple purchasing list is AirPods and he said he could do that up to $150.00, AirPods are $159.00, so I had to pay the $9.00 dollars so technically not free but I will take it!

Call up an Apple Advisor and complain about your experience! You might get a case, wireless charger, AirPods etc...they can give you up to $150.00. I am sure you can get something you want.

Do not hate on me because I called and complained and they offered me something for the terrible experience.

This is an interesting bit, being that if this is 100% true then how are people in this thread supposedly getting bumped up who ordered way later than others?

I haven't seen bumps for people who just ordered without complaining and paid full price though (like myself). Website and App didn't load for me until around 12:10/15, had a few errors but finally went through and got 17-24.

So far it seems like it's the IUP program or AT&T/carrier issues that Apple has pushed up first.
 
You mean the adults? No. I ordered when I ordered, I was given a date, and then... bear with me... I didn't call and whine.. like my daughter would do, and no, my date didn't change. I know this will sound crazy, but my life isn't going to end if I don't get the phone on Friday. I have the ability to wait :)

There is literally no one who can bump and order. All the Apple Advisors/Senior Advisors can do is offer you some sort of compensation in the form of a free accessory or something. So these people claiming they called and got bumped because of it is pure BS. It if it happened it is pure coincidence!

Cautious optimism was the right play. I'm now at 11/13-11/15.

I mean I already have received a free mophie charging base from this ordeal so I feel set in the 17-24 group. I just hope that it gets bumped up to the 10th.

Not true. The senior advisor initially bumped me 2 days earlier delivery. Now when it comes to 11/3 she said that has to come from higher ups.

I understand your point, but would be cautious of too many people doing this. I'm sure Apple will catch on and stop offering any freebies just because people don't have 11/3 delivery. Hundreds of millions of people around the world were hitting their site at same time.

To each his own though, just my .02 cents and integrity speaking.

When I started my preorder the date was 11/3 by the time finished (AT&T verification errors) my ship date is 11/17-11/24

Listen to be quite honest, I don't know how any one entity will ever be able to handle such a load. That's why I wanted to give constructive feedback.. like being abele to continue an order, when one method of payment doesn't work.

Nothings stopping you from calling asking that question, then waiting on Friday and trying your luck to see if you can get one. Worse thing that can happen is you waste a few hours and maybe meet some interesting people in line.

I already had bought my case, or that is all I probably would have ended up with. Also, I was a little lucky because he read my notes from the disaster I had last year with my iPhone 7 plus that I did not get on launch day, arrived with cosmetic damage out of the box, and scratch underneath the screen (kind of weird.) It took two weeks to get me a damn replacement. So, I definitely think that helped me out a bit. I am not one bit interested in wireless charging, and like I said he asked what I was interested in, I told him the truth...he made it happen.

Also, I am not some baby who called to actually try and get something. I called to see if there was anything they could do about my ship date and also to tell them how terrible the preorder experience was. He OFFERED to give me something, I never asked. I am an adult and can accept waiting for my iPhone...though when I shell out over $1,000+ I think I have the right to call and complain about the experience. I did not get one of those surveys or I would have just filled that out and told them they need fix their damn system/servers for preorders! Also, the carriers need to get their systems up to snuff as well.

I am somewhat east.. Michigan... but no bump.. I was trying inquire earlier about Location, since no commonality/pattern has been found yet.

To expand on your question, For folks that have had their dates improve, what state are you in?

Wait. you make it sound like getting one on launch day is going to be easy.

I would gladly wait 2 weeks than deal with the hassle/headache/stress of waiting days in line to get one on launch day.
But then again, I'm getting older and more jaded with these releases so YMMV.
