Canceled my order today. Paid in full for 17-24. There are too many people walking out of apple stores with new devices. I'll try my luck this weekend. At any rate. I'm sure I can get one before the 17th.

Ordered a SG T-Mobile 256 from Apple Store app and received order confirmation 12:10 am PDT. Order number W444*. Still in the Nov 17-24 window.
Saw the posts here about wide iPhone X availability and decided to stop by the store.
I went to the Apple Store (Highland Village in Houston) around 2 pm today, saw a line for people picking up their reservations, and asked an employee if there were any iPhones available for walk-in. He said no, and that the people waiting in line were up at 2 am (midnight PDT) on October 27 ordering their phones. I said “Me too! And my delivery date is still Nov 17-24.” He seemed shocked, and told me to check stock at 6 am for in-store pickup tomorrow morning. So either the MacRumors post or the Apple employees are wrong. I guess we’ll find out tomorrow at 6 am.

Yeah, they were talking about ordering it online for in-store. Not a reservation system like there was last year.
Ordered my 64gb space gray through Apple website (paid in full) at 3:12am EDT. 2-3 weeks. Hasn't moved, no charge on card, no bump. Was walking through Target today and asked the Tech guy if they had any iphone X left. "Yes, have only sold 2 today. Got 8 delivered to the store so I've got 6 left." Managed to get the same specs that I ordered from Apple and a bonus, didn't have to pay any sales tax as I'm visiting New Hampshire for the weekend and they don't charge sales tax in this state (would have paid nearly $70 in Florida). Saved ~$70 in tax and got my phone 3 weeks before Apple was going to deliver it. Sometimes you just have to take matters into your own hands to solve others problems. This is the 2nd launch day phone I've had to buy in the store because Apple couldn't deliver. Best of luck to the rest of you.

Which flight is that? I only found the UPS99 flight after it was in air from Incheon Int. I never found the flight that delivered our phones to there from china
Actually I was just told the same thing at the store by the person managing the line managing the available stock. I asked him a couple of times to confirm and he said all available inventory will be released at 6am to see on apple.com. I read the same thing as you, though, so I was surprised, too.
you can also still walk in and buy it.. (of course you need to make it to the store before it sells out)..
But thats why I set alerts to notify me the moment they get stock in

In the US you need to pay online... In other countries you pay when you get to the store
According to iStockNow.com, my Apple Store (90 minutes away though 
) has all versions available for Online Pickup. I am tempted to do this, however, I think I will just suck it up and wait. I have a feeling our iPhone Xs will get bumped up once the first batch is delivered (so today) and we will see a relatively good bump ourselves!

Since mine is coming on Monday, I went to local T-mobile to take a sneak peek first. Am I the only one who’s really disappointed?
1. The battery icon is annoying the hell out of me
2. The rounded edges look Really round and kiddy
3. The screen ratio is also absurdly long
4. The notch still annoys me big time...
5. If Steve Jobs was alive he would never approve of such a wall paper as one of the factory pre-set....
Okay I know I complain a lot but I’m not the only one here right? I’m almost tempted to switch for an 8 which sounds like a crazy idea even to myself

I don’t know that anyone “definitely” knows, but at my store they seemed to indicate they still have supply tonight and that would be made available in the morning. Whether or not they get additional stock, probably also depends on the location.
Best bet is to log on at 6am and check.
