placed my orders at 1:40am PDT and 2:36am PDT, both for white 64 GB wi-fi only models. received 3-5 shipping. both ipads remain at Not Yet Shipped
while it's annoying that other people are getting theirs and mine has yet to be shipped, it's still well within the quoted ship time so there's not really much room to complain about not having it.
where there IS room to complain is some people getting free covers and/or shipping upgrades and others who placed orders at or around the same time just having to wait it out.
called CS this AM, spoke with Amber who was more than happy to comp my 2 leather smart covers (that have already shipped) and upgrade me to 2-3 day shipping. She was great, I consider myself lucky that she answered the phone and not one of these other CS reps that others have been complaining about.
Of course this doesn't mean my ipads are getting out of China any faster, it just means that once they do leave they will be on a faster track than before I made the call. I can't complain, I'm happy that sometime this or next week I'll have my orders and that I don't have to wait 4-5 weeks like everyone else hoping to order online now.
I think everyone should be calling to request a complimentary cover. The worst they can do is say no. Companies are not required to offer the same deals to all customers, so it is incumbent on all customers to ask for the best deal available to them. My call netted me $138 in refunds and upgraded shipping and neither the iPad 2 or smart covers are even late yet. Sound good? Make the call!

Mine has been "Prepared for shipment" for 55 hours now - I don't want to discourage you but what that status means is totally unclear. For many on this forum, it doesn't mean "shipping imminently."
What's the best approach to use when talking with CS about getting reimbursed for a cover that's already been purchased and shipped? In other words, how do I convince them to do it?

They just credited my bank account back for my 64GB Black AT&T.... I'm calling CS and demanding a free case!
Called and expressed my frustration and they updated me to 2 day shipping and got a free wireless keyboard.
