My 64gig black AT&T model changed to Prepared for Shipping last night, and got shipping email this morning, with delivery scheduled for the 22nd.

My black 16GB 3G ATT, which has been 'prepared to ship' since Sunday night, just FINALLY SHIPPED at 11am CST.

My 16 GB wifi will be delivered today but the 16GB ATT 3G just sat 'prepared to ship' for 5 loooong days.

I ordered both iPads at 1 am PDT (3-5 day ship range) on the 11th.

So if you are in a similar boat, there is hope yours will change soon too!!

As I posted in another thread, this is bit hopeful though unless I see same status for my exact similar order 3 minutes after yours it is hard to be at rest.

What's the delivery estimate for your iPad 3G?

Crap! mine says International Economy Distribution too...so much for the BS that it was coming from Chicago...

Tracking also says that the "expected ship date" is 3-17, but at the same time it says the info was "sent to FedEx" at 2am this morning, which means if it is coming from China it won't be considered shipped til tomorrow... double crap!!

Hopefully it won't be stuck in Lantau Island HK for 3 days like my cover... shipped 3-14 estimated delivery now says 3-22, if I didn't know better I would say the FedEx and Apple are working together to cover up a backorder blunder

Here's the point that is driving me to drink (in addition to the fact that its st patty's day, if I ordered online early Fri morning why are retail stores getting deliveries "daily" and I (with the thousands of others in my boat) have to wait almost 2weeks

Got my shipping e-mail finally for our 64GB Black ATT ordered at 3:50AM EST.

FedEx estimates delivery on the 21st by 10:30AM -- probably as a result of the Apple CS bumping us to priority shipment.

What are you guys going to do with iPhone 5?

Damn it worked. I just called even thou Apple has met what it said by shipping my ipad in 3-5 days. today being the 5th day and it was shipped delivering to me by March 22. I called back and the CS said it was shipped today, which i already knew. As she was bout to hang up i mention that someone said apple was refunding for the smart case. She was like although i never heard of this. I will credit you for the case, u will see the credit within a couple days. Thanks Apple now fedex its in your hands. Bring my Ipad 2... so i can have two miracle devices orginal and ipad 2...

Well on apple order status mine says "2 day" but when I go to Fedex, under "Service type" it says "International Economy Distribution" which is 5 days.

Priority is the faster service, 1-3 days. i suggest you check your service type on the fedex tracking page. Int'l first is next day.

Thanks for posting this link, I was wondering about the service type. Mine says "International Priority Direct Distribution with an expected delivery of 3/22 to Austin, TX.

Well, there's some hope. I ordered the same model as you, but 15 minutes earlier.

It's still been "prepared for shipment" since Sunday as well. I ran to check my order status since you said it just happened for you, but mine hasn't shipped yet.

Maybe later today..... (I doubt it)

There are several of us in that same boat. At least we can hope they didn't lose a skid of them or something in Shenzhen, since at least once person got a shipping notice.

"technically" tomorrow is the last day Apple has to ship out iPads. The time estimated for us who ordered early was "ships in 3-5 business days". So if you haven't received your status update, keep refreshing or wait until tomorrow. If Apple doesn't ship out, then not only should you get the Smartcover free....but the iPad, too! (no pun intended)

after i called CS yesterday, within 5 minutes (mighta been 5 seconds), my order status changed to 'prepared for shipment'. of course, this means nothing, really. i will call again tomorrow if it's still preparing for shipment a whole week after i woke up at 4am just to buy the thing RIGHT AT LAUNCH. i even told the rep.. i am usually patient and whatnot, but the frustration stems from the fact that others who ordered after me seem to already have their shipped (and in some cases, delivered!) which is unacceptable.

The "2 Day" shipping offer from Apple may be legit, at least I hope. My Black 64 GB At&T just shipped this morning with a scheduled delivery of March 21 by 10:30 AM, which is technically 2 business days. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I really hope they stick to that delivery date. Has anyone else received the same delivery schedule?

However, the white 64 GB At&t has yet to be "prepared for shipment."

same here, with all the inconsistent reports on the CS calls it is difficult tell where the BS is coming from. My rep was a little clueless, but I honestly believe her when she said that there was no way to expedite the shipping... at least I believed that she believed this to be true... as I mentioned I she did seem clueless. Hell, based on the number of calls being reported you'd almost think that these reps are scripted to answer these inquiries, but it seemed that I was the first call she got of this nature...

My rep acknowledged today as the 5th day. Based on all the inconsistent CS reports I would definitely call CS tonight if yours hasn't shipped... get your free cover AND expedited shipping...

Just got off the phone with CS. (12:58PM CST.)I told her that I ordered on March 11 as soon as online store took orders. I said mine just got prepared for shipment while others had already received theirs. So I wanted to pay for overnight shipping. She said that because of the overwhelming orders, Apple had decided to do OVERNIGHT shipping (they're coming from China). So, she said, and I quote, "overnight shipping for your order is free. You don't have to pay anything. Apple has just decided to apply OVERNIGHT to ALL orders." And she said as soon as the package hits US soil, it should be delivered overnight.

All I can suggest is if you want to make sure, give CS a call and let them you want overnight shipping. And we'll see what happens. Hope this helps.

I did check the Fedex website and mine says "International Priority Direct Distribution." However, there is also a note saying "Package received after Fedex Cutoff" so instead of the initial March 21 delivery it stated earlier, it has been changed to March 22.

Still no movement on the White 64 GB At&T (stuck in NYS).

Even though I can't complain because Apple is still within the delivery estimate, it's been nice to watch this thread a relieve a little stress!

Ok, I just called apple complaining about the delayed shipping. The lady said nothing is wrong with the order and today is still the 5th business, then she asked "is there anything I can do for you to make the experience better?" ... two minutes later, an order of red leather smart cover is shown in my account page ... at least I can live through the rest of the day now

The status of my 16GB ATT white finally changed to "Prepared for shippment" within an hour ago. What a timing, if I hadn't called Apple two hours ago, I wouldn't have gotten the free red leather cover. It made my day!
