Mine has been "prepared for shipment" since 6 PM last night.

32GB Black AT&T
ordered: 12:44 am PST on the 11th.

My smart cover has been stuck on "Lantau island" for about 36 hours per Fedex.
 
My 16G ATT white is still in "NYS". ordered at 4:05am EST on 11th, anyone in the same boat here?
 
Lord finally prepared for shippment last night bout 9pm. But my damn smart cover been stuck in HK for 3 days.. da heck that all about.

I got a shipping notice @ 1:28AM today. Delivery is scheduled for 3/22. Bummer that I'll miss the weekend, but at least it's finally coming!

ETA: I was at "Prepared to Ship" for about 12 hours.

Mine finally hit "prepared for shipment" status yesterday and I got my ship notification early this morning. Delivery date is 3/22. I guess I can't play with it over the weekend, oh well.

Ok, so I don't feel alone here. I still would like to know has anyone who ordered 16GB ATT white got a different status than "NYS"?
 
Check with Apple. I'm glad I did.

My order was complicated because I tried to use a gift card that I got for a previous purchase (D-Link Device) and I hate rebate cards even more. My order didn't move for the longest time, and it turns out that while my primary payment method was OK, the gift card with the VISA logo failed ... and worse, failed silently. It wasn't until I called Apple that I found out. No email notifications that it failed, no way of me knowing that it bombed out completely. So, check with Apple because there could be a payment issue.
 
32 GB white ATT 3G iPad is still " Not Yet Shipped". No movement at all, nothing. Not even the infamous "Prepared To Ship". Even THAT would be thrilling! Apple's HQ are less than 25 minutes from my house. Maybe it is time for a visit!?! :confused:

ordered at 2:13 am PST, schedule delivery Mar 22

I called apple last night, complained about the "bad experience" and they gave me a free leather smartcover. said they couldnt do anything to bump up shipping though. on my order status, it says 2-day shipping but when i go to fedex site, it says "International Economy Distribution" which is 5 business day shipping, hence the estimated date of Mar 22.

I didn't ask for a smartcover, but i did say that i was told earlier by a CR to try to get it in an apple store if i wanted it earlier, then complained how i waited in line for 3 days only to leave empty handed because the apple store ppl refused to reveal quantity numbers and i wasted hours in line. at this point, the CR offered me a smartcover with expedited shipping.

if you're still at NYS or "prepared for shipment" i recommend you call right away and get a free smartcover for your extreme patience. when i called, my order was in "prepared for shipment"

Att 16 and 32GB models are moving very slow from what I see. 64GB are okay I guess, at least not stuck.

Ok, I just called apple complaining about the delayed shipping. The lady said nothing is wrong with the order and today is still the 5th business, then she asked "is there anything I can do for you to make the experience better?" ... two minutes later, an order of red leather smart cover is shown in my account page ... at least I can live through the rest of the day now :)
 
The "2 Day" shipping offer from Apple may be legit, at least I hope. My Black 64 GB At&T just shipped this morning with a scheduled delivery of March 21 by 10:30 AM, which is technically 2 business days. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I really hope they stick to that delivery date. Has anyone else received the same delivery schedule?

However, the white 64 GB At&t has yet to be "prepared for shipment."
 
Finally

I am so excited! After much waiting and incessant refreshing of the order status page, my 64 GB WiFi + 3G AT&T Black has FINALLY shipped! I ordered through Apple. Can't wait. FedEx is showing an estimated delivery of March 22nd by 4:30 PM. Longer than I'd like to wait, but it is certainly worth it.

I've been quietly following this thread for a few days... figured I'd chime in (finally) and share my experience since I found that of many others to be useful...

I'm in the same boat as many others following here: 64gb AT&T, ordered 1:09am PST, status changed to "prepared" yesterday evening, blah, blah, blah

I just received my shipping notice about 15min ago... yah(sarcastic)

I called CS after hearing about all the free *****, played the "more flies with honey" technique. The rep sympathized, but also apologetically seemed to have no answers to any of my gripes, while at the same time agreed I had reason to be frustrated. At one point she even started listing all other (non-apple) retailers that may possibly have stock as weird as that was. I was able to get her to tell me my iPad was coming from Chicago, but she said that she had no control over the speed it was to be shipped... I don't think she was BSing because she was legitimately trying to help me find ANY answer as to where/when it was shipping... also got the cover credited...

So recap... got the ship notice says expected 3-22 (delivers by 3-24) and I the rep says coming from Chicago, I live in NJ... I know its been said about a bazillion times but how is 3-5 days from Chicago considered to be "fast" in 2011? food for thought

Well on apple order status mine says "2 day" but when I go to Fedex, under "Service type" it says "International Economy Distribution" which is 5 days.

Priority is the faster service, 1-3 days. i suggest you check your service type on the fedex tracking page. Int'l first is next day.
 
whooohooo mine is shipped, estimated date on tuesday march 22.. jumping up and down... although i do still have my original IPAD..

My 16 GB wifi will be delivered today but the 16GB ATT 3G just sat 'prepared to ship' for 5 loooong days.

I ordered both iPads at 1 am PDT (3-5 day ship range) on the 11th.

So if you are in a similar boat, there is hope yours will change soon too!!

Well, there's some hope. I ordered the same model as you, but 15 minutes earlier.

It's still been "prepared for shipment" since Sunday as well. I ran to check my order status since you said it just happened for you, but mine hasn't shipped yet.

Maybe later today..... (I doubt it)
