Have your customized MBA been shipped?

My 13" Ultimate is en route. I ordered just before 6:00pm EDT on July 21. FedEx shows delivery Wednesday morn 7/27. I kept checking status all last night (since it was daytime in China) to see if there was a change from "Prepared for Shipping." Went to bed wondering what I'd find in the morning. Woke up around 3:14 am (according to my phone clock) and checked status. No change. Went back to sleep. Woke up this morning to find the Shipped e-mail notice -- timestamped at 3:19 am!

Sweating it out until Wednesday....

I went to the apple store to check out the new air, and i asked if they had the 1.8 i7 model with 4g ram and 256gHD and they had a few in stock. So i didn't have to wait for it :D

You're some combination of smart and lucky. With the ordering page apparently lying about custom configs only available by order, I wasn't going to take a chance on the B&M store. Besides, after my experience with the iPad 2 I highly doubt I'll ever try to buy a newly released product at a store. About a week before the iPad 2 release I went to a store to ask a few questions about it. The blue-shirted atrocity told me I should come out on release day and have fun hanging out in line. And he said, "Don't worry, we'll have plenty." :mad:

I think i am just really lucky. The guys there were really nice and helpful. One of them even said that they could get thunderbolt displays any day now which ship online in 6-8 weeks. You can always call and ask.
 
Ordered 11" MBA "Ultimate" on Wed July 20.

Just arrived this morning (Mon July 25) after being shipped on Fri from Shanghai with expedited delivery.

My nearest Apple store is 5 hour round trip, so I didn't try getting one there.

Mine arrived this morning as well but I was not there to sign for it. I will swing by the FedEx office this afternoon to get it!! :)
 
Mine was waiting for me in my office when I got in at 9!!!

Ordered the morning of release and shipped from Shanghai on the 22nd. Scheduled delivery was for the 27th so no complaints from me. Now I just have to resist the urge to play with it all day. Stupid work :p
 
Update - my computer has shipped from Shanghai, currently "in transit"!

I tried to bribe a Chinese official for additional shipping details regarding the export, but it did not go well.

I will keep updating this until that sweet, sweet air is in my hands.

Mstern8 - There were two shipping options to Canada. The faster one was $13.00 and it was 2-3 business days. The free option was within 7 business days. Also, it's being shipped by FedEx.

I was not given the shipping options.. When I recustomize the same computer, I am still not given the options.
Maybe it's the specs I chose.. ?

I checked for this.. and even contacted the online support..
It just was not available and I am not the only one on the forums reporting this.
I am also in Canada (don't know if this has something to do with it)

It's possible. I'm not too familiar about the carriers that operate in Canada and which ones Apple might use there.

In the US, Apple only uses FedEx for expedited when it comes from China like most of the units are right now.
 
Just received my 13" Ultimate. Was originally scheduled to be delivered on the 27th of July, but received it 2 days early. Was also ordered on launch day early am.

My tracking hasn't been updated since Jul 23, 2011 4:48 PM :( I hate living on the East coast, want to go back to cali! All of you guys have it now *jealous*
 
I live in Washington State and received my CTO i7 13inch this morning !! :) HAPPY!!! except for the estimated 3 1/2 hour wifi migration assistant transfer haha but what can you expect. I ordered mine the morning the new airs came out 7 a.m. PST

mine too...hasnt been updated since Jul 23, 2011 5:48 PM in Anchorage, AK...still says same del. date as july 27th...i hope maybe its out for delivery.

:D Our Macbook Airs are on the same truck heading here! (mine is an hour behind because I changed the time zone on the site).

Same here. I was hoping for an update tonight but no such luck. On the optimistic side I've had stuff delivered before the status gets updated.
 
The shipping arrival dates are usually conservative in order to ensure that you get the product by that date...
I always get mine sooner.

Come faster MBA .. Shanghai so far away..

I ordered two and only paid expedited shipping for one machine. FedEx delivered one around 10am today. The other one shows 'In Transit' still sitting in Anchorage, AK. Last updated on exact same date/time as yours.

New guy here. Mine just arrived, haven't even opened it yet. It was scheduled for Thursday, but came today.

1st purchased Mac after many years on PC. This should be fun!!:D

I'm sure I'll have lots of questions, so thanks in advance!!
