Hello,
Just downloaded the update and and flicking through the pages is a lot smoother now. I have 6 screens to slide through and normally about 14-20 pages/status updates/news feed news per screen.

I've also noticed that, after I've tapped to view a status update, it cut off the last part of the status. so was wondering whether there is a cap to how many characters a status can show on the app? I copy and pasted the status, and the character count came to 227, including punctuation and spaces.

Also I've noticed that some of my status'/news feeds are not showing up, especially the ones with a link on them or if some status' have friend tags.

The icon buttons at the top right of an individual posts page are much more intuitive now. I like the design of the four blocks to signify the main pages. It's good design.

App does not reload when opened, I noticed, at least not for me. I have a lot of friends, so I don't always notice an old status in there. Took me a minute to realize I had to refresh.

I can also confirm this, I have around 15 pages of status updates etc and it was overall a lot smoother and quicker!

I haven't seen the issue with the cut off of the status so I will look into this and confirm if I have the same issue!

I agree, the icon buttons at the top right hand corner are very intuitive and allows much better nagivation back and forth.

I will check to see if my app refreshes on a reload and report back

Thanks guys. I've fixed these issues now, thanks for feedback. A new build will be out once I get landscape orientation working.

Hey Mike, I had to remove it due to memory leaks. Uploading a new one shortly. Let me know if you get any memory issues with it.

hey your app looks very nice and I would be glad to test your app for bugs as I use facebook mostly everyday. Just send me a okay to test it and ill be ready. The Interface looks really nice already.

I registered several days ago to test but heard nothing. Might be just a handful of testers required
 
Hey guys - please bear with me in regards to setting you all up with test accounts. I am having issues with the provisioning of new devices with Apple and waiting for them to fix it. Hopefully they'll fix it soon and I can get you all set up.

Places is working great, much improved performance, no crashes yet.

Are you implementing horizontal pages? I think you mentioned something about it

SlidePad is now VERY responsive. Missing pictures completely from the News feed page though. Was able to repeat after a reset.

Were you able to get the images back? I've seen this before but it only seems to happen after installing the app on top of the old app. Did you delete SlideBook first before installing the new one? If not that may be why it happened.

I have a long list of testers waiting yet still waiting on Apple to fix the problem with provisioning new devices so those that are waiting please bear with me, I hope to have this resolved in the next day or so.
 
Liking the new build, I use my iPad in the landscape most of the time so support for this was very welcomed :)

There are a few issues with the landscape mode though

Firstly, the bottom row is cut in half so you can only see half of the row without scrolling down. I would suggest that you only take 3 rows and make them a little bigger to save having to make the user scroll down slightly

Secondly, the page indicator is missing but is present in the portrait mode

Have to say I've used most facebook apps and this is the best. Can't seem be able to look up my list of friends. Am I missing something or is that feature not included?

Thanks Kevin! I did originally have a page of friends but took it out as it was slower to download all the initial images versus only those for friends with updates. By making the images smaller I may be able to bring your friends into a list format. I will look into it further..

Kevin, do you see that as a good or bad thing? Game updates are turned off to prevent flooding the pages with updates from the same user.

Can you allow user to turn it on or off. I don't play the games myself but three daughters do aged 13 up to 23. They tell me they depend on these notifications about gifts in games. While they liked the app, it is unusable for them without the feature. There seems to be colossal numbers playing these facebook games, so I would assume it's a bad thing

Kevin - friend list will be in tomorrow's update. I'm looking at the game updates now..

Thanks! I wrote it myself in about 4 weeks with no prior iOS experience. I see you're in Lauderdale. I'm in WPB. Small world..
