I'm not exactly sold on a first gen Vision Pro but turning out the real world for a beach view with some tunes and ASMR wave white noise does sound nice.

Sadly Apple is adding more ads each year. Weather app, stocks app, App Store, etc. My description is a bit of parody but pointing out what eventually happens.
I must not make enough money to rate ads as I don’t get them in the weather app OR the stocks app. :(

What I’m noticing is that all these demos and photos are shot inside some very spacious living rooms and bedrooms with an absurd amount of empty space. What will this look and feel like when used in a cramped apartment that doesn’t look like a showroom at Design Within Reach?
In a word? Worse. However, it’s the same reason why, in the US, the food that’s advertised doesn’t look like what one gets in the restaurant. :)

How many of the environments will be sponsored by various companies? You know, every tree with a carving from Brand A, skywriting with Brand B, big Hollywood sign for Brand C? You know it will happen eventually. Then will come the expansion packs where you can add additional elements, each with their own branding. So you want a pet? It’s got markings for Brand D. That theater look the showed? Brands E and F show up around it. Etc.
Considering the situation on the Apple Watch, Apple TV screensaver videos and other areas where “creativity” could reign, I doubt it. Now, people will CERTAINLY build apps that have those sorts of experiences inside them, to be sure. But, it’s more likely the complaints will be for Apple to allow developers to do more.

Then again, the EU could regulate that, since Apple has a monopoly on what people see when using the Vision Pro (and, of course, Apple having a monopoly on the Vision Pro), they could force the matter and allow ads. (IF the Vision Pro is released in the EU…)

I'm imagining that Apple feel that they have a few years to sort out this problem, as initially, the Vision Pro looks like something that Kendall from Succession would buy.
