How difficult would it be for someone at the UPS sorting plant to 'accidentally' mis-sort one package?
Not hard. But I used to work for a wireless carrier in employee and high profile accounts. Sometimes packages get " mis-sorted". I've tracked down, sent delivery drivers back to package drop off and disabled phones. If a package goes missing there are ways to make the experience for the "thief"

Wait, so, should I pre order the X though the Apple app instead of through Verizon?

Which is easier / better?

Thanks

lol those boxes get thrown around far more than I'd have expected.

Just don't bother, you won't get it until the middle of March.

What surprised me most in the video was that room filled with really old iMacs. I was surprised that Apple didn't outfit them with more recent models. I guess it's a testament to how well those computers hold up.

So far the iPhone 8 launch seems smoother than usual, but that's apparently because not a lot of people are buying it. I'll be interested to see what the sales are like after next week.

Anyone else find it strange that they call it a “war room” when all it is is them making an ungodly amount of money? War is definitely a strange word to use in this situation.

Things seem to be doing well in NYC this morning.

The hype machine at Apple is completely off the rails and nearing orbit. Too bad this year many people are waiting for the iPhone X.
And this is a problem for Apple why? The way I look it Apple wins either way - buy now get 8 - buy later get the X

Question to the folks on AUP - are you upgrading regardless of features every year? Wondering because I am on the NEXT program on AT&T but I didn't feel a rush to upgrade to Iphone 7+

theyre probably only using the war room for new product launches and software launches. No need to have the latest and greatest

Billions of years of evolution, profound advances in medicine, art, science, technology and literature, and lizard brains that put their lives on hold to click "buy" the newest iteration of the same decade old shiny object. Astounding.

Ya maybe I just woke up sensitive today. I totally get it and the term war room is used for other businesses...I don’t blame anyone. I guess with all the bad news going around lately that to hear a word like war being used with even Apple rolling out their new phone....just bad timing when all I hear is bad news.

It's not a problem for Apple. It's a problem for me :(

I'm on iPhone Upgrade Program and I upgrade each year regardless because I'd still be paying for an older phone anyway so I might as well go grab the newest one. But to be fair, I upgraded every year before that going back to the original iPhone, except for the 5S which I skipped for some reason (I think I was really busy that year since we bought our first house and had our first baby, so it just wasn't a priority).

lol you have no idea until you've worked in the industry. It's surprising that more items aren't damaged.

Not at all, it's a common term for these type of workplaces.
