Just downloaded and upgraded to the final versions to my Watch, iPad and iPhone here in Germany.
So either download is accessible for beta users earlier or download started in general already ....

Last year they released Catalina during the second week of October while Mojave was ready in September I don't remember the date but it was close to iOS 12

Always updated right away onto new iOS and iPadOS versions. But since last year's versions were incredibly buggy for me I guess I wait a bit this time.
I need to upgrade soon the IOS for the iPad and iPhone 11. There is a new App Coming for the todays launch of Oculus Quest 2. Today will be ordering my first VR glasses. Star Wars Squadrons here I come.
I read from some users that the Beta versions are quite stable but I'm still waiting since updating on day 1 turned out to be a mistake for me last year with iOS 13/iPadOS 13.
Can't wait to hear all the whining and horror stories tomorrow after people update without backing up and lose all their data or brick their devices.

This is getting weirder by the minute.
One of the many reasons that I have an iPhone, I have had several Android phones in the past that I enjoyed and I think a lot of unique things are being done in that space right now but software updates are very important to me. Android 11 was just released to a limited few Android devices while everyone from an iPhone 6s will be able to update on the same day. A phone from 2015 is still supported by iOS, that’s incredible to me.
Like any other major Apple update, it's probably better to wait a bit before updating.
Gotta thank all you folks going for 14 on release, the big issues will be found fast (and addressed by Apple).

I'm in Denver and have been in the public beta since it came out. This morning at 3am, I already had the final version downloaded and ready to install.
Ha ha. Yep thats us. We still have bits and pieces all over the world including small island territories such as Bermuda and the Falkland Islands and a number of countries still have the Queen as their head of state including New Zealand, Australia and Canada
Our little island once had the biggest empire the world had ever seen and covered around 25% of the world's land surface including our special and treasured friends across the pond whom I have a special affection for and still fondly know as the colonies

Does anyone know if Apple will also release iOS 14 as a computer download today? e.g. connecting the phone to the mac and getting it that way vs OTA?
Especially I remember something called the Belgian blocks when testing vehicle suspensions. 😅Make you a deal, when you lot get your roads in order (my poor suspension) we'll consider your request.

I wonder why they can’t release it at 12:01 PDT like they‘ve done before with iPhone releases? Seems like the demand curve would be softened vs downloading it in the middle of the day when demand is highest in the US,.
