Option (a) would annoy so many people that installed the GM yesterday.

BTW, that's why I didn't install the GM. I figured I could wait a day to be 100% sure I get the actual release version.

It would be interesting to know how it does happen. Maybe it is just the Return key on Timmy's iPad that sets it off, or maybe a great big green button that gets pushed in a ceremony like the people that get to ring the bells at the NYSE.

That was annoying. On my ipad pro 11" gave the option to download 14. Started the download and then got "download failed" message. Now it's back to "iPadOS 13.7 Your software is up to date."

EDIT might have said "download error" - dont really recall.
