I updated to the GM on my 2018 12.9 and I still have Apple widgets that are the wrong size as well as apps that are smaller than the others. I’ve restarted my iPad, unfortunately that didn’t resolve My issues. I just deleted the public beta profile. Will I be able to “re-install” the public release? Hoping these bugs are fixed soon.
Who knows what the hold up is, but if Apple releases the same build as yesterday, you won't be able to re-install over the air. It can be re-installed through iTunes or Finder though. I'm not sure if the backup and restore would reintroduce the bug though since you could potentially be backing up bad data...unless you're comfortable with a clean install. I would probably wait a week or two before doing anything drastic though. Perhaps verify the bugs aren't with iOS or the apps themselves first.

If Apple had a last minute bug fix, then we should be able to update over the air as the build number will be different.

At this point most of Europe and Asia probably won’t bother updating today. Not doing an update right before bed given all the things that can go wrong.

This may be the strategy - Decrease load since half the world is asleep ;)

Tim apple just enjoys making people suffer, he’s probably reading this thread right now, laughing with his plan to put last year’s processor into another old chassis in his hands

Still on 12.4.1 on my 6s and couldn’t be happier.. Will probably grab ios 14 when it comes out of beta in September 2021 under the name of 14.7.. Enjoy a year of beta testing guys
iOS 14 has been almost flawless for me with the last 3 betas. In every case it has performed much much better than the latest iOS 13 (the only iOS I found to be pretty problematic)

Even if apple confirms we will be receiving the same latest beta as official, I’m sure we will still wait for the update with the same passion.
