For my notebook no need to upgrade (as I’ll get a new one). Am wondering for my (intel) mac mini server. I fear they have again dropped some features in the server app.

Am running “open directory” and iOS provisioning for the family.

There were two issues that caused me to uninstall Monterey beta a couple of months ago. First, the issue with M1s in Music where Airplay to Homepods wouldn't work after waking from sleep (not all the time, but definitely most of the time). There are a few threads about this. The other issue was the Microsoft Remote Desktop app would crash immediately after attempting to log in. Microsoft may have to address this, not Apple??? Anyone have any input on either of these two issues? Thanks!

I may install it tomorrow evening. Usually I've had good luck in upgrading Mac OS versions, typically on the evening it's been released. It also helps that I do a Time Machine backup of the Mac I'm about to upgrade before I do so (already backing up my M1 MacBook Air as I type this!)

I have 2015 MBA, 500gb, 8gb RAM. I'll need to do some research and wonder if the old Mac can do most of the features added with Monterey.

Yeah - I gotta wait until until at least 12.2 is released - I feel like all the bugs just got ironed out with 11.6. My Logitech MX Keys keyboard is finally able to maintain a connection to my Mac Mini via Bluetooth without dropping or constantly lagging :/

Oh yeah, I remember those days. Like the lines for iPhones and iPads these days. Remember the days of some camping out at the stores...
It was a lot of fun to stand in line and talk to the other fanboys ;) O.K. even older, in person user groups where the veterans would help out the newbies. I'm old enough to remember joining 30+ early Mac users, networking, and playing some giant eyeball (with a crooked arrow tale), maze game!

I haven't been following this beta very closely. A question for all you beta testers: any big irritations or bugs to watch for, going from Big Sur to Monterey? I'm usually more conservative with updating MacOS immediately, in case there's some rough edge that makes my life suck until it's fixed :)

Considering it's only real feature isn't even launching yet, I'll save myself the aggravation of all the bugs it will bring.

Any idea on when Apple is going to showcase new macOS / iOS apps utilizing the new APIs and hardware?

A good example would be the AR apps with iOS 11.

Oof. It's been a while since I've had to deal with Sharepoint, thank god, but I remember it truly sucking on a Mac at my last job.
