Looking for your advice please.
I have both the small Series 10 Hermès and the UW2 Hermès.
Lots of Hermès straps for the small Apple Watch also.
But I find it sometimes a bit small and the UW2 not always suitable (office, dinner, pretty thick ...)
So I was wondering if a big 46mm Series 10 (or maybe 11 at this time of the year) was a good idea.
For my strap collection for sure not but I have another issue; I have a small wrist and it looks like the rubber bands (and even the leather one) are too big for me. At the early time of the AW Apple was providing two size (S/M and M/L) but I don't think it's the case anymore.
So anyone with a small wrist and 46mm AW ? How do you deal with it ?
Thanks! ... and I'm not looking in definitive answers here, just your opinion.

If you have a (relatively) small wrist, all 46 Hermès bands may well be „too big“ in the sense that Hermès, for whatever reason, punches very few holes in them. For leather straps it‘s relatively easy to have additional holes punched (or even to do it yourself), for textile straps not so much.

FWIW, I always wore the larger Watch size (46, today) and never had this problem with any Apple strap, only Hermès. And yes, for Sport bands Apple still produces S/M and M/L versions, but you have too choose nowadays while in the earlier days they packed both in the same SKU.

Gris kilim single tour (silver steel)

Reporting after around 2 months of daily use of the Simple Tour Tricot including 2 weeks wearing it 24 hours during a vacation in Florida which means beach, swimming in the ocean and in the pool, shower, workout etc.

According to Hermès (translated from French) : "the single tour knitted nylon strap "En Mer" of the Apple Watch Hermès Ultra is resistant to water and corrosion, and dries quickly: about in 1 hour at 20°C.
Also, this model is designed to be used during sports activities.
So you can use it for your sports sessions and clean it with mild soap and a soft brush."

I assumed that this what the same for the Tricot 😅

As you can see on the pictures it's pretty in good shape. I was just careful to rinse it with clean water after going into the salted water of the sea.

Thanks for your answer.
But Hermès 46mm only comes with the M/L version of the Sport bands, right ?

This happened to my Kilim band - unfortunately I don’t think I have the receipt from the Hermes stores in Selfridges, London and I bought it over a year ago.

Would Hermes replace this band?

I didn’t make it worse by twisting it for this photo, in case anyone is wondering.
Out of interest, did you get any luck with this? It's a shame it's happened. Really hope they don't give you a run around as they have with some others. It's more of a shame, I think when these sort of things aren't resolved easily!

After the issues with the developer Betas - has anyone installed the watchOS Public Beta? Have they been generally ok with the Hermes watches (the public betas). Thanks!

All I can contribute is that my SBSS8 (18.5) still wouldn’t pair on beta 4, though it wasn’t crashing Watch.app, simply never getting past “connecting your Apple Watch.”

I held down the Digital Crown once it was in pairing mode and then it offered factory reset and then it was fine.

Not sure the affected watches even show pairing mode but hope that’s something.

So, for the Hermes watches it’s still a hot mess. Get your **** together Apple.

Anyone bother to read through the AppleCare One legal terms for Apple Watch? Since it includes theft and loss, does that include the watch band? Does it only cover the watch bands that come with the watch (sport band + the band of your choice at check out)?

The Plan is associated with the Apple Account used to purchase this Plan. The Plan covers up to three (3) of the following devices that are associated with the Apple Account (if enrolled under the Plan, the device is a “Covered Device”): AirPods, Apple TV, Apple Watch (including the one Apple-branded band, Nike Sport band, or Hermès Sport band supplied in the same box as your covered Apple Watch),
So it covers the orange (or black) sport band only, not even the H band included in the original purchase.

Hopefully this doesn’t mean the end of the Hermes partnership is near. September marks 10 years since the original Apple Watch Hermes.
Oh I see it's that time of year again already...🙃

Seriously, we go through this every year. A few days before the fall Apple event, the Apple Watch section on the Hermes website will disappear, everyone here will freak out, and then Apple will announce new Hermes watches. In some years, like this one or a couple of years ago when the rumors of Apple discontinuing leather products were swirling, there will be some extra rumor or event over the summer that adds fuel to this fire.

The Apple/Hermes partnership will continue simply because it's insanely profitable for both parties. Apple simply adds a few extra faces in software and etches the Hermes logo on the back and sells the exact same watch for a $250 premium over the regular SS/Titanium version. Yes, this year they also have an exclusive color on the Hermes version that isn't available on other watches. But, all the Ti watches have a PVD coating with the S10 line so I can't imagine the cost of the "silver" Hermes coating is appreciably different from the "natural" colored coating on the regular Ti watch. For Hermes, they get to sell bands at their usual high prices (seriously, the margin on the Kilim bands especially must be insane), but to a whole new set of customers they weren't reaching before the Apple Watch came along. That's the definition of a good brand partnership since both parties are benefiting. And, I expect it will continue until either Apple or Hermes no longer sees a benefit from it.

As for the software bugs specific to Hermes models, I suspect it's due to the number of Hermes watch owners being relatively small (despite them being very profitable customers). There just aren't enough Hermes watches for it to be worth it for Apple to spend large amounts of developer time and money on fixing bugs, especially given the overall bugginess of Apple's platforms these days.

We just need to do strange “looking forward to the continued Hermes series” every ten posts or so as inoculation against clown season

On a more positive spin in speculation: noticed some new leather colorways in current accessory offerings like Terre (a reddish, mahogany brown) and Vert Veronese (we’ve seen it in a nylon band but not in leather). Hermès also offers some woven nylon belts in fun colors and patterns (like the diamond pattern Medor XO), which would be nice as a watch band, too. Looking forward!

Last night I had my first Hermes watch face bug. The watch face froze around 7:30pm. Except it was like 8:10pm. I had to click the crown to get the watch to unfreeze and show the right time.

I think this means the partnership is over, frozen in time. /s

Question: will we ever see a digital Hermes watch face instead of the analog ones we’ve had? Or is that too off brand?

I know both Hermes and Apple have bigger fish to fry but I find it really unacceptable that Apple ignores the Hermes Watch and let's it's users wonder why this or that can't be fixed or changed.

And yes can you imaging the profit margin on the Kilim bands...holy cow!
