What possible reason is there to upgrade? Give some money to a homeless shelter, it will improve your apple watch experience by the same amount unless that single 1 mm is the sole reason you found the watch unusable.
Was seriously considering it when I saw the "renders" on line BUT after seeing the actual Apple Watch - not so sure. Have time to see since the pre-orders are happening for a while.
I’m in the same boat. Unless the battery degrades even more on my S4, I’m waiting until next year. I have a few scratches on the screen, so I just bought a screen protector to hide them.
I like the new screen, full size keyboard with swiping, and cycling updates. I'm glad they didn't square off the design like the rumors said. That said I will probably hang onto my series 6 Ti for at least another year.
Not a chance, especially since most of the differences are software related and Apple could easily make them available to at least some of the previous series.
If the battery life would have improved even a bit, I would have considered the new Apple Watch. Charging speed increase is like Tesla trying to say your battery will not give any more miles BUT in the night you can save 1 hour for charging time. Very disappointed. I did not upgrade my last year after doing so every year for many years. Too little changes for the hassle of a change over.
Nah. Battery still at 100% (lasts all day easily), screen still perfect, seems the new one has no better performance and no new killer feature. Pretty easy pass.
Nope. Plus two of the new faces Nike Bounce and World Time are available on Series 6. Happy Days.
Will use the money to pick up some bands realised between now and next year.
I still have my series 5 and it still works really well. I would have upgraded, but some health features for next year's model still sounds more appealing and it looks like they will finally change the form factor next year considering they didn't this year. If all else fails and next year's update is very incremental, I might update to a series 7 then.
Actually pleasantly surprised - I bought my Series 6 in April, and knew I was “at risk” of being bummed by a Series 7 overhaul… nope! Feeling content with 6, and will keep it for at least another generation
All this said - I just think this is the way technology is going. I may be an anomaly on a message board filled with Apple fans (myself included!) but I have an iPhone 11 that I love and likely won’t replace until forced to (or until I see a screaming carrier deal!).
