There are holes, very small ones, look closer.

Nice, it looks thinner now, I wonder how thin is the display now. Hmm. it seems the MB trackpad size look like the MBA, so does it means MB will get multi touch?

The MBP trackpad size look the same though.

The photos are deceptive. The MBP case is much bigger, but the photo is the same size as the MB. From the look of it, the trackpad is a bit bigger than the spacebar on both. So I think the trackpads are both the same and both large.

Display Out?

This port is certainly not DVI, Mini DVI, or Micro DVI. It also seems like it is not wide enough to be HDMI and it doesn't look like it fits DisplayPort either! Does anyone know what this port is?

Upon further inspection, it seems like it is Mini DVI. Sorry :). However, I hope this picture is (or I am) wrong. People won't be too happy if they cannot power their 30" displays with their MBP.

based on the label seen in that one photo, it looks like it is some form of video out.

that pix are awesome, but the site is getting hammered.

btw you now can see a clear difference in the proposed display port. So there's definitely something on the way. The shape of the display port rather looks like a SCART connector in mini and is clearly opposed to all the ports we currently know.

This is like watching a slow motion strip-tease. First blurry and gradually building up to the final money shot on tuesday. I have a feeling it is co-ordinated from the top.

If the port assignment stays the same as current Macbooks will it not be as follows?

Ethernet
Mini-DVI
USB
USB
Firewire 800
Kensington

Thought I read somewhere that the notebooks were being bumped to FW800 as the connector is smaller?

EDIT: Looks like there is one port fewer on the Macbook casing... seems Apple will be dropping firewire on the consumer notebooks :(

Its difficult to tell, but from what I can see from those pics, the optical drive is on the right side on both the 13" and 15" instead of being up front on the 15".

I will be EXTREMELY displeased if that turns out to be the case.

Why? What's the difference?

I hop the MBP will come in 16" and 18,1" displays.
They seem to be very thin, when I'm looking at the drive at the right...
nice!

If anyone can get on the macx.cn site can you post the pics? Its just not working for most of us!

I'm a little disappointed that theres no "Black gloss" like on the iMacs but this is going to be a huge improvement. I've got a white MacBook at the moment...I had to take it in for repair last month as it cracked! At least we know that wont be happening any more!

My only grief is that its not as rounded as I was expecting. I was hoping they would go super round like they did with the Air!

To have it in the front is a pain in the neck if you have it on your lap or sit very close to it. Right side better.

How do we know the smaller machine is a MacBook and not a small MBP? What happened to the rumor about the MB being black plastic?

I'm so hoping they haven't scrapped firewire on either model.
