Here we go again. TSMC vs Samsung in 3,2,1.... Gentlemen, start your engines...... ;-)

On a serious note, Apple have really outdone themselves in using Samsung chips which have led to so much controversy, some of which, like the OP above is probably genuine

Don't laugh. My partner had a tsmc chip in her 6s + since sept with insane battery and she watches lots of streaming video. I just upgraded from a tsmc 6s to a Samsung 6s+ and the battery is far far worse than expected.

So I'm at 29% currently with Usage listed as 7 hr, 7 min and Standby 17 hr, 2 min. I have been using it relatively heavily today...seems pretty reasonable to me.

I got a new 6S Plus because I cracked my other one, so I sold it and bought a brand new one. My old one was the TSMC chip or whatever it was called and the battery was amazing on that thing. Now my new one is the Samsung chip and wow the difference is night and day the battery is utter crap. After 2 hrs and 36 min of use I'm at %68 while my TSMC would normally be in high 70's-low 80's right now. I thought the difference was only supposed to be minimal but this is terrible and unacceptable on Apple. I'll definitely have to upgrade to a 7 Plus later this year when it releases, I can't take this. It's like I'm using a normal 6S and not a Plus. Samsung sucks and hopefully Apple doesn't use them next time around. Anyone else had experience with both chips like I have ?

Not entirely sure if you JUST got this phone or if you've been using it for a few days/weeks, but here's one thing to keep in mind: Do NOT try to measure your battery life solely by the percentage indicator -- you need to run the battery down to empty once and see how long it actually lasts. Over time, the battery loses calibration which makes the percentage indicator quite inaccurate.

Draining it all the way will tell you how long it actually lasts, and if indeed there is a battery calibration issue, it would fix that.
