I have 4 cameras set as favorites on my MacBook Air M1. None of the preview thumbnails are updating, they are showing images from a day ago. This was working perfectly prior to the 12.1 update. The same favorites are updating normally on my iPad Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

I restarted the app and computer multiple times. I also un-favorited the cameras and re-favorited them, that didn't work.

Any ideas?

Thank you

Same issue here....! AppleWatch & MacBook Pro HomeKit works fine and camera thumbnails are updating.
iOS 15.2 thumbnails first show a black thumbnail and after some minutes showing a two day old thumbnail on all 3 cameras......
Having some issues with location service, too. Position of my wifes phone is always shown "home", even if she's miles away. Tried reboot and removed cameras from HomeKit, but no success.

Fixed it!
Remove the cameras from HomeKit. But only from HomeKit and not from the manufacturer's app such as Logitech or Eve.
Reconnect the cameras to HomeKit by scanning the HomeKit code on the device and everything will work again!

Cheers

My iPhone 13 Pro is doing this. Also there’s supposed to be a timer that shows how long since the last still image was updated. All of my thumbnails just say “now” instead of the timer.

Something really screwy going on with Apple’s servers. Been trying for two days to factory reset my kids’ iPads but it won’t allow me to connect to iCloud and thusly can’t factory reset. Says there’s a problem connecting to their servers.

I'm having the same exact issue on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, although on my MBP it works just fine. I've rebooted my phone multiple times and it still only shows "now" instead of the timer. It was working fine until earlier today.

It’s gotta be an issue with the servers. There was no software update or anything like that. It’s probably bogged down from all the Apple Christmas gifts being set up. If that’s the case, they really need to fix their severs. Ridiculous for a trillion dollar company.

Yup I too am part of the “now” crew…

I updated to the 15.3 beta to see if that helped. It did not. I’ve rebooted all of my home hubs. The issue persists.

After fixing it with remove&re-add I got the issue back again after reboot.....

Still not working on my end either. I’m gonna guess it’s still a server issue and will be resolved for everyone as soon as people are done setting up their new Apple device Christmas gifts. I can’t even sign out of my son’s AppleId or factory reset his old iPad because of a server issue.

Maybe they are rolling out the fix in some sort of sequence or waves? For reference, my timers in the corner of each thumbnail are working again too.

One more thing, I didn't do anything for this to start working again, it just did.

Definitely not working on my iPhone still but works on my MBP. So bizarre...
