Yeah like Tim Cook just wheels out the HomePod to the center of the stage on a desk, then leaves while Siri on the HomePod gives the keynote. So is the Apple event jsut going to be a monitor with the HomePod firmware and a Porky the Pig... t-t-t-t-that's all folks.

#PodGate2017Leakypod strikes again
Right? Nothing. It surprises me, that nearly 1 month before the Keynote there are absolutly no detailed rumors about the 7S!
It really depends on what you do. I've been making good use of a 128GB iPhone. A lot of people probably could do with less.Hell 64 sounds cramped now lol
Great point. A 4K front camera isn't a huge feature to me although I will gladly take it. It would make sense to upgrade the camera if the primary (potentially only) form of biometrics is facial recognition. The 4K 60 fps rear camera really would be nice especially as someone above mentioned, if there is a new Apple TV coming soon that will support 4K.This might be a side effect of the facial recognition system requiring high resolution front facing cameras.
Did wikileaks write the code for the HomePod?Another revelation?! HomePod is really the gift that keeps on giving!
I'm not complaining but thanks to HomePod firmware leaks, I feel like I already know 50% of Apple's September keynote.

There is a rumor that Apple is releasing a 4K HDR Apple TV soon...

Hopefully in September!
Wow... How did this happen? It's almost impossible to fathom that a firmware release for a speaker that isn't even shipping holds this much information about a device Apple clearly intended to shake up the market. So far it looks like mostly good news (not sure I'm keen on replacing touch ID though)-- but if these specs turn out wrong it's going to really be damaging...
I'm just imagining some new hire hitting the "release" button and suddenly realizing they forgot to run the script that scrubs the image-- then comforting themselves that it's just the Homepod firmware and nobody's going to look at it too carefully...
Any info in the HomePod about the Iphone 7s? If not I start to doubt.#PodGate2017

Right? Nothing.
4K resolution is defined as 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, which is exactly 8,294,400 pixels in total, which is 8.3 megapixels. The front camera might ship with more megapixels, but 8.3MP is what's necessary for true 4K. An 8MP camera can record in 4K with some small video upscaling, and the loss in quality would be barely noticeable. If the front camera records 4K (even in 30fps) it surely will be higher than 8MP, which would be great!
Yes! Good to seem I’m not the only oneIt surprises me, that nearly 1 month before the Keynote there are absolutly no detailed rumors about the 7S!
Why would Apple downgrade? They already got rid of the 16GB tier, although 32GB is starting to look a little cramped these days too.
This might be a side effect of the facial recognition system requiring high resolution front facing cameras.
What a huge mistake releasing this HomePod firmware was. Every day there’s a new piece of information about new iPhones to be learned from it. Someone is being hanged at Apple HQ for this.

Makes sense in a way. The front camera may need as much resolution as it can get if the rumor that the iPhone 8 dropping Touch ID in favor of facial recognition is true.
To make a lot of money with it.Now what is the long term plan for the homePod?
