It activates the microphone simultaneously to ensure it hears no snoring.
Ahhhh. Clever if this is true. I’m sure Apple had to think of a lot of these weird scenarios when they were implementing it.

I was being sarcastic. There's no good solution to that. It could look for eyes being shut for over 1 second, but that would likely decrease its speed so that's a no-go.Ahhhh. Clever if this is true. I’m sure Apple had to think of a lot of these weird scenarios when they were implementing it.
I think he (she) was talking more about the pillow. In the dark does not matter. Ever heard of infrared (invisible light)?
I feel like there was a poorly-labeled photograph which predicted that somewhere…I predict the front camera having a thick spherical bulge with a rotating camera that looks like an eye![]()
That's the question? Touch id is not in the display, nor is it on the back. So were is it? Million dollar question?

Infrared light travels at the speed of light. The processing is the only question. My biggest concern is the battery runtime, to be that accurate and that fast, the scanning process has to be active all time.
Really hope this isn't replacing Touch ID and is being introduced alongside as an alternative
It's actually not possible to work better. Touch ID can unlock a device while it's being pulled out of a pocket. Face ID cannot. Touch ID can unlock a device at extremely oblique angles to the face, such as being held near a payment terminal. It's unknown if Face ID can unlock with high accuracy at this distance and angle. It will replace TouchId. And it will be more secure and work better.
Apple trolling everyone would be so funny![]()

Waiting for the Mac Mini Pro leaks.Any information for the modular mac pro in this firmware ? There's got to be something for this too.
This is getting funny.

Face ID will certainly take more energy to run.
Apple is soaking this all in. This is a highly Clever way for them to leak iPhone 8 information and keep the HomePod in the news. It's marketing at their finest and this is what they are so good at. It's Building hype and excitement all before the launch in approximately a month. I give them credit and this no is an accident with all this leaked information. Well played Apple.
You might have a great point here, it's a great way of keeping BOTH in the news! Although the HomePod isn't out until December.
They have a seminar on secrecy and put millions of dollars into it, and you think they elect to leak loads of info a month out.Apple is soaking this all in. I just thought about something about two hours ago.
My little nephew just took my phone while sitting with his mom while sitting in the kitchen and quickly showed me the front of the phone, not too far from my face and then ran off with the phone.
If this were the iPhone 8 wouldn't my phone just had unlocked it self and now my little nephew has access to my phone since he quickly had the front of my iPhone 7 plus not too far from my face before he ran off with it.
Well I guess all ladies need to do now is grab their man's phone at night and just hold it near their face and bam, all the side chicks nudes and videos all for her to see.
No touchid is a BIG NNNNOOOOO for me!
iPhone 7S Plus sounding great right now.
If they got rid of Touch ID it would NEVER come back. It's the most absurd suggestion.Well, one scenario could be that the iPhone 8 loses TouchID only for TouchID to resurface on the iPhone 8s/9 next year integrated into the display. The technology is there, patented by Apple. Of course that would suck for people who paid a lot for their iPhone 8 only to see a very useful feature return, perhaps even at a lower price the following year.
They aren't concerns, they're factsPlease... Contact Apple ASAP and let them know! I'm certain your concerns were never considered.
And StormTrooper cosplay is right out.I'm still worried about wearing headgear and needing to quickly unlock your phone....
