I find Siri quite useful too. Especially for stuff an assistant should do like emailing, texting, reminders, shopping list, playing music, control smart home stuff...etc. But for general info she is lacking and making me go to my phone for certain answers is frustrating. Google Assistant is going down hill quite fast and within the next 6 months will be as dumb as Siri...lol. Not sure what Google is doing but they are ruining Assistant. Alexa is still the king.
If she could do the things she is supposed to do, she would be quite useful.

It’s the dreaded “one moment… something went wrong” that’s the problem. Or when she forgets to do the most basic stuff. Or when she completely misinterprets a command and you can’t convince her to do the right thing. Or when she just gives up:

- give driving directions to x
- I can’t do that from the car
- give driving directions to x
- do you want me to call y
- at infinitum

I really wish they'd just fix the current HomePod lineup before making anything new. The HomePod system software is so incredibly buggy and frustrating. I would take pause before supporting any more HomePod products.

They don’t sound terrible to me, just not significantly better than the competition. I’ll no doubt replace them with full size ones soon enough.
You will not regret getting the full size ones. I have five of them, and six minis around the house to fill spaces where sound quality isn't that much of importance (bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen etc)
