macOS still runs only AirPlay 1 which is why the out of sync and delay issues happen. The Sonos Roam is a better solution in my opinion since it's both Bluetooth and AirPlay.

Interesting on the AirPlay 1 from MacOS... did not know that

But unfortunately you can’t play to a stereo pair of Roams over Bluetooth either, so it’s the same as the Mini in that respect. (Plus I have one and personally don’t think it sounds as good as the Mini). It’s good as a small portable though.

I’m still having intermittent issues using the stereo pair steaming from podcasts or Apple Music directly, where one of the pair will just stop playing it out for a bit, then come back.
