One of my 2 homepods had a popping sound too for weeks when iddle (sometimes 3 or 4 per hour, super annoying), Apple told me it is a hardware problem, but when i told them I live in The Netherlandas they told me, I can ONLY exchange it if i go to Germany, as it is not sold here.My stereo-paired HomePods were suddenly out of sync yesterday, which has never happened before. Unplugging them resolved the issue, for now, but I wonder if it’s related to this.
One of the HomePods frequently makes a «popping sound» whilst being in standby, as well. It has been doing that for months now.
Has Apple ever had a more error-ridden product?
Holy crap to the person who owns 19 homepods. With that many, why not just install a home audio system!
The burning question - why not an even 20?Anyone else here just to find out about the guy with 19 Homepods at home?
Or several audio setups in different rooms. The theoretically proper number of speakers for Dolby ATMOS is what, 27 speakers? That's the very best, but not necessary at all. You get it with two speakers, as long as you have the ATMOS firmware in your speaker, you get a large space with different sounds coming from many places. Paired Home Pods are a very good way to get a nice sound image in your room. True, I'm now looking to go a 7.2 or some such thing, and then put about 6 speakers right, left and center, a subwoofer, and a couple of up-firing speakers pointed up at the ceiling. About two grand, I guess. Two HomePods gave me very acceptable sound for the last month. That is a [modern, digital] home audio system!

I had the same issue as you when we sold our old Apple TV... when I looked in Hubs in Home app it still showed the old devices. You can remove it by going into iCloud settings (top of the list when you open the Settings app) There is a list of all the devices linked to your Apple ID... click your old Apple TV and click "Remove from account"....and found out that a name I gave my old Apple TV still existed, and tvOS 15 wanted to cling on to that icon...
That’s because they got sued for that lol not being nice I got a brand new laptop fir itApple is really good about taking care of these things. Give them time to sort out the problem and they will definitely take care of you. I had them repair an out of warranty MacBook Pro with a free motherboard a couple of years ago. This was after telling me it was going to cost me $500+. I was really nice to them and they found a way to get it covered for me.

This. Is. The. Risk. Of. Beta. Software.
I used to make fun of people like that but the older I get the more I miss plug and play analog. It's a F'n speaker! I can hear my father now "Back in my day, you plugged in a speaker and it worked!"
