Not getting one but if I did it would not be white. Sooner or later that white is going to be looking nasty. Does not look like it will clean very well.
If we go by the analogy of cars, it's actually the opposite.
Black is the hardest to maintain while white is relatively easier.
That’s because of the reflective quality of glossy car paint. HomePod is covered in fabric which is sure to stain less easily than white over time.

If Apple sells it in white, I try to buy it in white... so yes, I got it in white to go along with my white 10.5 iPad Pro and iPhone 8.
Some people smoke. That would quickly turn a white speaker a sludgy shade of yellow..
Which color do you guys think would look best next to an iMac on a dark brown desk?

yes, I was thinking the same. My current speakers are black / silver so they go pretty well with my iMac. Wish Apple had mixed in some brushed aluminum aesthetic to the HomePod.
White. You don't want it to stand out. Everything I have is that Grey, but this is different.

I like them both, but I'll be picking it up a lot and moving it room to room and I think white will show oils from my hands over time easier than the grey will.
