If we go by the analogy of cars, it's actually the opposite.

That’s because of the reflective quality of glossy car paint. HomePod is covered in fabric which is sure to stain less easily than white over time.

That’s because of the reflective quality of glossy car paint. HomePod is covered in fabric which is sure to stain less easily than white over time.

Dust would show up more on black.

yes, I was thinking the same. My current speakers are black / silver so they go pretty well with my iMac. Wish Apple had mixed in some brushed aluminum aesthetic to the HomePod.

Yes but then it will match the stained wallpaper and furniture.

I like them both, but I'll be picking it up a lot and moving it room to room and I think white will show oils from my hands over time easier than the grey will.
