HomePod HomePod - Which Colour?

As for reasons - its simple. I liked the space gray over the white. Just read through the thread and you will see its largely a personal preference.
I played both colors in the Apple Store. Chose white because fingerprints from touching the base are much more visible on the grey one. The white one just looked cleaner.
I've not been able to find out what fabric the HomePod is made of. The specs don't mention it.
If it's synthetic, then it'll be more easily cleaned with a damp cloth. If it's a natural fabric, stains from oily fingers or the dog's nose or a kid with food on their hands will permanently stain the white HomePod.

This is something I’ve noticed too. It really does seem like such a waste of LED hardware. The Siri wave is far more muted than on iOS and it’s not something you really see much. I kind of wish it were more prominent.
I picked up the SG and will pick up the white when stereo paring is enabled...best of both worlds!!
The mesh fabric just looks so much better in white in my opinion. They're both amazing, but I am getting another white one as soon as stereo pairing comes out
Since it’s been a while, can anybody with a white HomePod please report on how it’s aging? Does it yellow or start to get dirty? My Space Grey looks like new. It collects dust but comes off easily.
I am interested in a white HomePod, but would like to see how the fabric is looking after a few months of use.
The white still looks very clean and new. I have the black one in my living room area and the white in my bedroom.
We went with the Space Grey. Afraid the white would show dust too easily, plus it would really stand out in our living room which is mainly browns and darker colors.
I have the black one but thinking if I get a 2nd to get matching or go with white for the kitchen or bedroom
I saw both the white and black HomePods in an Apple Store and holy moly the white one was turning dark with grime from so many people handling it. If I'm buying one I'll be choosing black.
I went with black, but feel like the white looks very nice. I'll probably just stick with black if I get a second one as it blends in better for me.
My apartment can get pretty dusty, and I feel like the white would discolor over time. I also prefer the way the Siri lights look on the black display, definitely pops more.
This thread has been helpful. I’d been planning to get mine in white, given that it’s the classic iPod look (and that every iPhone I’ve had has been white as well) but I hadn’t thought of the obvious in retrospect fact that the white would more easily get dirty.
