my friend told me he went to first colony mall for past two days, and both days there were some stock available but he didn't score any because he wants 64 but they only have 32 in stock. Sounds like it is pretty easy to purchase one at least for this week.

I got my at galleria on tuesday morning. i think the international crowd around that area is pretty high, so at&t ipads are hard to get. If i had to do it again id go to memorial city mall apple store - seems less like the ipad type people. just being honest
I have a 64gb wifi only black, and I wanted 32gb wifi only black. Is that what they had?
Scored a white att 32 at the sams at Shenondoah, north of woodlands. They had 3 other white att, and about 15/20 wifis, both black and white. 4 hours later they were all gone. Seems like they keep getting a steady shipment.
If anyone is aware of any 32GB ATT 3G versions, black or white, I would appreciate the heads up!! Haven't had any luck getting one for my dad yet...

My advice is to sit back and relax. Rather than camp out in front of an Apple store or Best Buy or drive all over far flung reaches of the city in order to have the slight chance to purchase the ipad model you don't really want, check the staus of ipads on Apple's website. When the shipping time changes from 4-5 weeks to instant then you will know that their are plenty available THEN walk into and Apple store and buy one.

But I can't tell if $8,000 Hong Kong dollars is a fair deal. Wow some are 10,000 HK$. Have to look up the conversion rate....

Just got a 64GB Black AT&T from Galleria Best Buy
Stopped by there for lunch to pick up some rechargable AAs and asked the Apple guy what he had.
This model is the exact one I wanted to I picked it up.
Not sure of what other models they had and since I was running late I forgot to ask how many others they had.

I grabbed one from Memorial as a gift and there were 2 when I left!
While I was standing there another guy walked up and asked the electronics CSR if they had any iPad2s. He looked excited and grabbed 2 for himself and as a gift as well. He said that he's been looking for a week.
I asked him, "How'd you find out that they were in stock?"
Guy: "I found this program that automatically emails me when they're in stock."
Me: "From MacRumors huh?"
Guy: "Yep. 🙂"
Me: "Me too. 🙂"

But still much more than craiglist US cities.
Guess I'll keep waiting by the iPhone for BestBuy Houston 290NW to call.....but if this goes another 2 weeks I may start reading the iPhone 5 rumors & save my $100 BB gift card.

I put my deposit down March 12 so I'd like to think I'm high on the list, but you never know with specific models. I'll try to swing by before they close tonight. If any luck I'll post back.

greenspoint bestbuy has about 20 in stock 16gig 3g att and 32gig wiff only.....just got a 16gig.

Best Buy Galleria has shown that they have some in stock for a few days now of the white 16GB wifi model and other models also.
My guess is that the models in stock are the ones being held for people with reserves.
I just hope people are picking up their white 16GB wifi ipads asap and they are getting stock daily so my turn can come up!
Oh, and who knows whats BB policies on calling customers for their reserved ipads....do they do it asap, a few hours a few days....only BB employees know this
I've got a unopened white 32 gb att, couldn't figure out how to PM you. I would be down for a trade though.
Finally! I was able to get the AT&T 64GB Black iPad2 at BestBuy Galleria tonight. Just happened to stop by the store after work around 7pm. I asked if they had that model and to my amazement the sales rep said yes! He then said he had to check to make certain they were not on hold for their list, but thought they had a few for walk-in sales. Sure enough, he came back with the iPad. I asked if I could buy 2 (one for a work colleague who was also searching for it) but he said it was limited one per customer if it wasnt a reserved order. So I quickly called my colleague and he made the trip up to BBuy and was able to get the same model about 30-40 minutes later.
Clearly they are in stock there now at least for a bit.

Do you think they have more of the same model? I badly need one and I have a BB GC so this is perfect. I checked online and it still says in store only, I tried to call earlier but was too impatient after 30 mins on hold.
