Houston, TX - iPad 2 Sightings/Information

No dice.
The lady I spoke to behind the customer service desk didn't seem to friendly and was nonchalant about wanting to help me.
She just said that no iPads have been delivered and she couldn't tell me my place on the reserve list.
Although I think if I would have spoken to some one else I think I would have gotten a different response for some reason.
AT&T 16 GB Black is what I got and I'm 90% sure that's what the other one was as well.

Well, well. I just got a call from them (BB Pasadena) that they had a 64G AT&T in for me. When I decided to buy the white one yesterday, I was like 12 or 13 on the list for the 3G model. I was pretty sure I was going to be out of luck. I'll be returning the white one tomorrow to either Pearland or Pasadena.

Apple store line at Galleria was about 200 people. I was almost last in line. I got a 64 gb wifi black. I wanted the 32gb wifi black so I'm happy.
The Apple store rep said:
- AT&T models are going immediately
- this was the largest shipment by far, except for the first day shipment
- Verizon models are the last to go every time
- He thinks AT&T is so popular due to the high population density of foreigners that frequent the galleria
They handed out cards at the end of the line for the models that were available. So when you walk up to the end of the line they have a stack of notecards that say "16gb black wifi" or whatever. And he tells you what his stock is, and you pick from the remaining (or dont). Good system actually. The credit card machines crashed a few times in the store which slowed the line down but I got there at 10am and it took 2 hrs to get through the line.

I think it was Tuesday or Wednesday, i'm not exactly sure. I want to say I was number 32 on the entire list (all models) when I paid my deposit.

I'm starting to regret my reserve at the Galleria BB. They are terrible over there. They couldn't even tell me what number in line I was at the time I placed my reserve.
That was today?, how all those people knew about the shipment, the store call them or they just line up?

Interesting day yesterday for me. I went in the morning asked what was going on and I got similar nonchalant response from the guy at the customer desk. I left thinking that it would be a while that I was going to get it and started tossing the idea of just canceling my reservation all together (give it some time for stocks to refresh).
At around 4PM, I get a call that my iPad was in. I was a bit peeved that in the morning I was told that there were no iPads and all reservations were picked up. However, I was pretty excited once they handed it to me. I went in at around 6:30 and it was about a 5 person deep line for reservation pickup.
I got what I reserved - 32gb black wifi.

I placed my reserve that following Monday at noon....there was no number on my paper.
Guess they got tired of keeping track.
It does seem like stores are receiving more of the 32GB models though than 16 GB.
Just scored a black 64 ATT from BB Willowbrook. Not sure how many they have left, but they got a shipment this AM

I read online that a rumor was big shipment coming Monday, so when they didn't come I figure it would be there on Tuesday so I just went. They didn't say anything except that they usually get a shipment, small or large, every day.
Is it worth going to an apple store in the early am on thursday?
