I swear I read somewhere this was possible but I cant find the article now.I'm hoping for a virtual mouse/keyboard setup so you don't need to physically need them around.

I've been reviewing the Quest 3, but still don't get it. Does it already offer the same immersive experience that the Vision Pro offers, with "screens" floating in space? How well does that work? How do the Macs broadcast their screens?
Likely it's not. Its not releasing this year. Why did the Apple employees think that Vision Pro was not ready?
There was. However, without tactile feedback, that can't work very well. Even if they line it up with a flat surface like a table in front of you, it will be like typing on an iPad screen at best. There's a reason why we still use physical keyboards for actual work.During the Keynote, I could swear there was a virtual keyboard in one of the views.
Yeah, I am curious if you can run the headset directly from the thunderbolt 4 port on the laptop. Then the second question, does the charging port of the headset double as an input/output device? I really hope so - though the eventual goal will be no ports in the AR glasses, for this "Pro" V1 product a port for transferring data would be real nice...Latency becomes the question. They have Final Cut pictured above so possibly they have some magic worked out. My Quest Pro already allows 3 Macbook monitors with much less robust hardware so I am sure Apple will have a multi monitor soluition for this as well. With M2 and R1 all current apps should be possible native. That will be outstanding! I would order them for our whole team right now if they would let me.
100%...typing on a tabletop is going to kill your fingers...and typing in the air will kill your arms. Definitely not something you'd want to write a novel using. There was. If there are multiple compatible Macs, how will it identify which is the one you are looking at?Connecting is as simple as looking at a compatible Mac while wearing the Apple Vision headset.
Wait for the longer-term reviews next year. My feeling is it will be similar to the "Can the iPad now replace a MacBook?" experiments. Why did the Apple employees think that Vision Pro was not ready?
Other than the MR article 2 stories prior?I swear I read somewhere this was possible but I cant find the article now.
I would think it would support all Macs that can run Sonoma!I wonder if this is going to work with Macs that contain Intel Chip.
Why did the Apple employees think that Vision Pro was not ready?
Probably the same way Siri identifies the command you're giving it.When there are multiple compatible Macs, how will it identify which one you are looking at?
Is it ready? Why did the Apple employees think that Vision Pro was not ready?
totally, yes, totally. I would love to get rid of my last of the intel iMacs, get a studio Mac and use the goggles as my screen. I still have my iPad Pro if I need a physical screen for anything... This is a genuine use case. This is what they are playing at.This is gonna be the most sold-out thing ever. Probably a year long waitlist.
I'm anti-VR and even I'm thinking about getting it, if it works with the Mac like this. It's not enough for me to already be working in bed with a laptop under work-from-home - I also want to be able to work while just lying back half asleep.
I'll pay top dollar for anything that'll let me be just a little bit lazier.
Maybe that was it.Other than the MR article 2 stories prior?
