How interesting - did they admit it was faulty?

Glad you're getting a new one - sad you have to be without one for a whole week!

Great service for an AW8! Edit: Oops - Thanks jz0309 - AW10
The lady who assisted me concurred that the crown is faulty.

She even invited me to feel her’s.

No worries about waiting a week. I have my S8 to use until then, and I’ll appreciate the new gestures when I get my replacement.

Gotta love UK Consumer Law 👍🏼.

💯 it’s a defect. What series watch did the Apple genius wear, btw?

It’s cool that the UK and even Europe have these enhanced consumer protection laws for Apple devices.

when I first read clicky crown I thought of a root canal and what the hell it had to do with apple then I realized it was an Apple Watch, might consider a more descriptive question in the future

I don’t know what Apple Watch she had, but the difference is night and day.

I was offered delivery, but it wasn’t convenient.

I’ll collect next Wednesday 👍🏼.
Yea my Digital Crown clicks fine. The only time I wear my watch in the water is when I swim in the pool. 🏊

Indeed, I think to get the watch delivered it has a shipping fee? I only see people doing it if they live far from an Apple Store. Plus, it’s safer and more accountable to get it picked up at an Apple Store for the repaired device, imo.

And the series 8 is quite noticeably heavier.

The Ultra must be very heavy?
SS vs Ti for your S8/10.

I've been wearing the Ultra since it came out, and yes, it is heavier than my S7Ti (that u wear for sleep tracking every other night) but I don't really notice it in day to day use, except, when I was in the hospital for a couple days I had to wear it on my right wrist as I had an IV on my left, but, I got used to it

You get used to it. Granted I'm a large person. (230 pounds and I wear XXL shirts). I have been wearing Ultras since they came out and they feel - look way better on me.

But yeah it's heavier - the case + battery.

Casio Thailand made Gshock 5600: ~53g
Apple Watch 46mm Series 11 Aluminum: ~37–38g
Apple Watch 46mm Series 11 Titanium: 43.1g
My Apple Watch Ultra 3: ~61.7g
My Japanese made Casio GW-5000U: 74g

Of all those watches the 5000U feels the best but looks small on me. lol.

I had no idea the AW11 Aluminum was so light! (Haven't worn a normal AW since the Ultras came out).

My last aluminum was the S3, then got SBSS S4, S7 Ti and Ultra from there on so I'm definitely used to the weight ...

I use a very small dental brush designed to go in between the teeth. Every now and then crown gets sticky and I clean out the mung (old photography term) with the brush works perfectly. No need to hold it under water. Mine is a polished gold cellular I got at the same time as the iPhone 12P.

That’s the same series and type of Apple Watch that you have like me!

It is heavier. Though the stainless steel Apple Watch Series 3 is the heaviest stainless steel Apple Watch I have ever seen, the 4-9s are a few grams lighter but still feel heavy

Ultra is heavy because it has a much larger casing.

Just received an email, stating that my watch has reached the Apple "repair centre" & is now being inspected.
That’s great news that it’s making progress. Let me know once the replacement watch is ready!
