i searched an apple related question and the first thing was things from macrumors, so i lurked it for along time.. than i made an account

I can't really remember, I think I signed up because I had an iPod touch problem but I never posted until a while later.

I lurked for a long time just keeping up with news stories and rumors. I would jump into the forums some to see how various questions were answered. Then one day I decided to set up a home server of sorts and joined so I could post questions I had.

That was August 14, 2008.

I've been a regular ever since then and check the forums all most everyday to keep up with friends, meet new people, learn stuff, and just have fun. I think the MR community is a great place, but you have to remember that it's a community. Be a part by treating others with respect and giving back. :)

I used to be a member of ehMac.ca, back when I still had a PC.

MR was mentioned a few times, so I visited, often.

I finally joined right after I got my iMac 24" Alu, Feb.08. :D

:apple:

I Needed A Break

From being a forum Moderator on several other sites. I had a look around, found this a nice impersonal place to be (I don't mean that in a negative way) Being a global site, it also reminds me of my home (NYC)

And it's a great place for information and tech. tips on all things APple.

Had some questions about how to use my 3G when I first got it. Google led me to about a dozen pages all from MacRumors. Lurked for about a week or so, signed up, all downhill from there.

Was waiting for a new iMac so I joined to discuss about it. For an unknown reason, I'm still here, and I guess someone accidentally gave me moderator status.

"Forgot Signature" LOL what a noob. :p

Joined the day after April fools in 2008, been checking daily ever since. I first posted a thread after stalking for a while, and Im still waiting for the answer.

Perhaps if someone answered I could leave...

As some other people have said, I looked up a question on Google and this site was one of the results. I looked around the different sections for a while and finally made an account.

I wanted to do research to buy my first Mac back in '06. I ended up getting a 20" iMac 2.33GHz Core 2 Duo and it still runs great :D

I don't remember how I found the forums, but I just looked up my first post (in this thread) and it was a little grizzle! :p

International sales accounted for 43 percent of the quarter's revenues.

OK, Apple's making international sales. However, as most people outside the US know, most of Apple's products are a lot more expensive internationally than they are in the US. I think that if Apple put their international prices in line with their US prices, then they would make many more sales, and therefore more revenue, more market share, etc. Anyone else agree?

How did you get made a moderator?

What we have here is post devoid of contextual clues and lacking in clarification. Thus, it is ripe for misinterpretation.

Let me demonstrate:

1. How did you get made a moderator?

"What's the general process for becoming a moderator Mr. Hellhammer? I would like to know how one goes about getting this job."

2. How did you get made a moderator?

"What's your specific story of becoming a moderator Mr. Hellhammer? Were you nominated? Did you volunteer? Did they seek you out? I'm interested."

3. How did you get made a moderator?

"Oh my head, they made Mr. Hellhammer a moderator! What were they thinking? Seriously, who did he $%*$ to get the job. I mean, this is crazy!"

Please clarify for us what you mean wrinkster22. This way Hellhammer can know whether to answer or be offended. ;)

I think not. (sorry to be off topic) how are your new adventures with Win kit going?

It's been going pretty well. Had to exchange the PSU since the old one was too noisy. Now the noise level is bearable.

How did you get made a moderator?>

New moderators are chosen by current moderators and administrators. You don't need to volunteer beforehand, you will be asked. However, we are volunteers in the matter that we don't get paid.
