Cash in the safe who uses banks anymore lol. I financed 6 months no interest and will easily pay off by then. If I dont have to spend it today I wont when I can spend theirs today. Just me. But I never assume debt that I cant pay even if I lose my job. Which I did back in 09 and I still have my house and all my toys. Although my truck got one level smaller. :)
 
And just my personal opinion, if you have to finance a $500-900 purchase, you need to get your priorities straight...especially if you checked the "I'm financing it & have no idea how I will pay it off" box. It's just a toy. It won't cure cancer & it won't get a supermodel to gobble your hog. There is absolutely no reason in the world why you should go in debt for one of these.

Well, first of all, there are people that would need to finance $349. For the average American, that is a chunk of change. I am lucky and have a good paying job with ample savings.

Secondly, I've never paid over $100 for a purse. I think that is a waste. Most women you see with designer handbags got those handbags from a random guy selling them at the corner. I don't understand the allure of those bags myself though.
 
Paid by cash simply out of my wallet. Aroma of Benjamins is great for aroma therapy before burning them.
 
Although, I did not get a new iPad 2, I paid for my iPad 1 in full. I do this for all my toys. Then again, we are debt free -- no car payments, no house payment, and both my wife and I work with nicely paid jobs.

If I cannot pay cash, I do not need it.

BTW, I am a guy and I like high end leather goods including my iPad bag. :cool: And whoever said that Prada, Coach, and Chanel bags are $500-1000, haven't shopped there because they can get up in the 5-digit values for some bags like Hermes, or limited edition bags or exotic skin bags like alligator or boa. I'm just saying...
 
My iPad 1 was paid for by the magazine for whom i manage their online forums. I am very much hoping they will buy me an iPad 2 also.

If not i can easily buy one on my birthday in july as a present to myself.

At present i am also checking craigslist on a daily basisvfor an MBP, found one yesterday 15" 2010 3.4ghz i7 only 500€..... What is bugging me is it seems too cheap.
 
I voted for the "paid for it now" although in actually I charged it but I have money set aside and plan to pay for it when I get the bill. Now if only I could pay off the rest of that credit card bill...
 
I bought it off privately (64GB iPad 3G), cash.

Otherwise my Toys are purchased using American Express Platinum Air Miles for Points and Extended Warranty.

I admit, I am one high maintenance bitch, but my husband doesn't care. :D

I have a few Coach bags and MAC makeup, he has his watches, dvds and cologne.

I don't "let" him buy anything, because he is not obligated to ask me, and vice versa. We are both blessed to work at the same place, doing the same job, and getting paid the same amount of money for it.

I wanted the iPad, he was meh about it. Now I want the new iPad, and the first gen will go to him.

I like gadgets.

ETA: forgot to add we paid cash for the first, will be cash for the second. Getting paid weekly kicks ass.
