I have a feeling stores will start to have stock today and receive more and more shipments by the end of the week. Ordering online seems crazy to have a 3-4 week delivery.

I'm so bummed out.... The entire reason I bought the Pro was for the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard. I ordered the keyboard but I will just wait till the Pencil is available. That is really disappointing...
Houston, said for pickup today. iPad is ready of course pencil is not, so who knows.
Just picked up my iPad pro at the store in Brandon Florida. They said they had two pencils this morning but obviously sold out instantly
2 Pencils, wow. Apple clearly had no idea how popular this device was going to be with digital artists. We've been stuck with Wacom and no other competition for so long, of course we're going to run out and try Apple's entry in the field. We're also used to paying insane prices for digitizer tech, so the price is no big deal.
I would recommend that anyone who's ordering now just go ahead and take your delivery slot, but keep checking local stores. I expect that like with any constrained item they'll be getting a few in every weekday.
Welp, Apple store just called me and said it was a glitch, they received zero pencils so that it isn't available to be picked of. Of course, nice launch with no pencils Apple.
Kansas City Plaza has no pencils or keyboards today. They are hoping they will be in, in a few days.
I guess better off waiting then ordering online. Delivery estimates have slipped to 3-4 weeks, ouch!

He sold 2 already, people are not smart. You can still get earlier delivery than that from Apple.
Showed up at the Delaware Apple store before opening, to pick up the IPP I ordered. Was told I couldn't actually have it until I got the "it's ready" email, even though the salesperson could see it in the back with my name on it. I asked if they had any Pencils and she told me there were 2 of them back there.
Waited an hour to get the email. By then both Pencils were gone (of course). I was unable to just purchase it separate when I walked in (I asked).
While I was waiting, I decided I like the type cover so I asked for one of those. "Sorry, we don't have any....."

Well.... I just got my call saying the keyboard and pencils never came in, so my in-store pickup today isn't going to happen. She wanted to cancel my order, I said "Wait... I ordered them at 3:02 am, I'm NOT going to go to the back of the like with a new order". She said she will call me back if she cant keep my order open.
Both Apple stores in SLC, UT claim they had a small number that all went to preorders. The one I actually went to didn't even have a demo set up. Good work Apple, I was going to buy on day one and now I'll spend a month or two reading artist reviews.

I would;t have canceled. I am sure someone will get an Apple Pencil in within the next few days......Best Buy, Staples, even more shipments coming to the Apple store.
I just got off the phone with the store in Tampa Florida. They said they had zero this morning but do expect to receive some towards the end of the week
