I currently carry my Xs in my left front pocket with a case and it makes a bit bulky because my wallet is in my left front pocket too. Without a case, the Xs is slimmer and my wallet live together nicely except it’s slippery taking out the Xs.

I’ve also been trying to keep my Xs with a case on it in my left back pocket.

Started using a wallet case with my X and do the same with the Xs Max. it is a little bulky but suits my needs.

Same pattern I've always had, clockwise from back left pocket, wallet-fags-phone-keys, simples, my little routine every time I leave the house. Each has it's own pocket, I'm right handed so having my phone in my right front pocket suits. I don't use a case because I couldn't care less, I don't want to wrap a premium product in a cheap nasty feeling case, if it gets scratched then so what, it's a piece of replaceable technology to me. Although I wouldn't put my keys or anything else with it, whilst I don't mind the odd nick I don't want to deliberately scratch it up.

Some people do put the phone in their back pockets, this always seemed odd to me. I'd be worried about sitting on it, it falling out on the loo (This happened to my girlfriends old phone...), and also the big shiny arse target for thieves.

- Xs Max Without any case in my left front pocket.
- AirPods in my right front pocket
- tissue / chewing gum in right back pocket
- office access card in left back pocket.

Keys are generally either in my gym bag or my jacket pocket.

Front right jeans pocket, screen facing my leg, nothing else ever goes in that pocket, my phones have always been in kept in the same pocket like this since I can remember, my Xs has a thin minimal hard case on and a glass screen protector.

XS.

If I’m wearing clothes with pockets: Right front pocket alone. Always alone, and upside down, with the screen facing my thigh, so that when I put my hand in and grab it, it’s oriented properly when I take it out.

If I’m wearing stupid lady clothes with no pockets*: left bra cup. Alone, obvs.

I’m right-handed, so this arrangement makes sense.

My iPhone never has a case or screen protector.

*Yes, I’m bitter. It’s 2018, designers, get with it!

XS Max, was same with 7+. Shirt pocket for brief periods like getting in or out of car, right rear pocket walking with jeans, left front pocket with shorts, zippered or Velcro pocket with hiking/adventure pants. Keys are always in right front pocket so never a chance for contact. Many of my outdoor and rain jackets now have zippered chest pockets that work great.

Same. always front left for phone only. same way too I started carrying them facing my leg and down when they put the headphone jack on the bottom(iPhone 5?). Only way you could have it with headphones connected to it. Right pocket always keys and wallet.

My son learnt the hard way, screen was facing out and he banged his leg on the school table, screen was completely smashed on his old 5C, since then he has also put it in his pocket with screen facing his leg, IMO it’s the safest way, I’ve always done it even when phones were small and screens were protected by cases etc.
Putting the phone in my pocket upside down due to headphone socket being at the bottom used to annoy me, I no longer have that issue as I use AirPods, not that I listen to a lot of music on my phone.

also seems the best way to get your phone out of your pocket you pull it up and its right side up when you raise it to your face.

Looks like I am the only one using a HOLSTER!

Yep, have to get to my phone so many times and I have found nothing more handy than a holster. Sedio Surface case.

Giving my age way but I would have it no other way.
I used a holster in the olden days, for my StarTac and my Palm smartphones.

One time, my StarTac flipped out of the holster and into the (public!!!!!) toilet. Holsters lost their luster then, but I still used them for a few more years. Never with an iPhone, though. It never seemed right.

Guess I have been lucky as I have not dropped my iPhone is a few years now. I do like the holster for the ease of getting to my device and returning it with ease. The MAX in my pocket would be uncomfortable and impossible to reach while sitting in the truck.

It just works for me but I know there is a holster stigma among the younger folks but I am at the point where things like that do not bother me.:p I run my company while in the field and have hundreds of emails. calls and texts to deal with.

Xs Max here....right front pocket and naked as the day it was born....too pretty to cover it up :)

Phone never shares a pocket with anything else.

It's either in front left pocket (non-work) or left cargo pant pocket (work).

I hardly carry a wallet now - all I have is a slim credit card holder that shares a pocket with my car keyfob.

If my pants have a coin pocket (which I always look for when buying pants), it gives me somewhere to store the keyfob so that my credit card holder can then live in my front right pocket.

Coin pocket can also store Airpods, if need be.
